Who would that be?

Finch-Robinson
Bedford-Bailey
Askew-Boyd
Douglas/Alexander

Who else?...Harris-Lomax...lets go.

Yeah, Finch-Robinson will always be it.

But Henderson-Ford were both McD’s all-Americans.

Penny was a different class, but him and Vaughn started the same year.

Would Billy Smith and Anthony Douglas be higher level high schoolers than Lomax and Harris?

From the stand point of significance, not necessarily the best players but the most important players to the program, it would be hard to pick any pair other than Finch/Robinson.

Finch - Robinson....but that was way before recruiting became a cottage industry

this question is super easy.....

not when they necessarily committed or signed, but when they both showed up eligible to play....

as one opposing coach said about the upcoming season in the conference preseason call...

Larry's got two lottery picks coming there

I can't remember, but I think grades kept Billy Smith out of the game.

Finch-Robinson is number one for several reasons; they were both very good players. First black Memphis stars to sign with Memphis State. Opened the floodgates other 3 most important were
Lee-whoever made us relevant again after almost decade drought
Penny-whoever Turned out to be #1 player in nation brought a brand to Memphis down the road.
DRose-whoever finally got us back into NC game again after 33 years

Would have been fun to have watched in their prime...who wins the slam dunk contest?
