Great pitching again today
Lose 1-0 to GaSou. Are last 3 games have been 2-1 win, 3-2 loss, and 1-0 loss. Seems unusual to have so many low scoring, well-pitched games on the college level.

The 2-1 win over #22 (poll not RPI) La. Tech was a good win.
The two one run losses at home really hurt. Dropped our RPI to 59.
We have an excellent chance to rebound Tuesday at #29 RPI #20 poll Oklahoma.
Go Trojans!!

Getting an at-large bid was a pipe dream. We can still win the West, which is much weaker than the East, and put ourselves in a position where we can make some noise in the Sun Belt tournament.

Didn't see either of the games, but it certainly seems we do have good pitching this season, and obviously we faced some good pitching also. That's what I hope it was, instead of weak hitting on our part.

If you have good pitching, you've got a chance even if you don't hit real well. You can usually score a few runs. No pitching spells trouble, unless you have the 1927 Yankees Murderers Row behind you. So far this is the best I remember here .

We fell to second place in the West today. Because of the rain-out, we have played one less game than UTA (7-5) and are a half-game back at 6-5. We are in 6th place overall in the league.. Whether it's "fair" or not, we could still get the #2 seed in the tournament if we end up in 1st place in the West. We do have the tie-breaker, with UTA, if we end up with the same record.

No way to predict what will happen with the standings with so many games left. But, the difference could be us having to play 3 games at #24 Coastal Carolina, while UTA doesn't have them on their schedule. We also have to play 3 games, at ULL, who I figure will start turning things around.
