I mean, you started a thread on 'Don't assistant coaches have to have a college degree?' ... if you do a simple search and/or looked at other threads in this forum and on twitter, etc. then you will know that assistance coaches just have to be working to get the degree and can get hired. You started that thread to rile up other stuff.

TOGC wants to make it seem like Malik was the best guard we have had since Tyreke Evans.

For me to get concerned we have to lose either Davenport and/or Parks. We lose one of those guys, it will hurt.

I will amend this by saying I would have liked to have kept both Jamal and Nickelberry. I think both could have improved quite abit over the next 3 years, but if leaving only hurts them IMO.

Yep. Rhodes was not a D1 player, Tubby added him for depth when he was desperate. He had a few nice moments and I liked his enthusiasm. Hope he crushes it wherever he ends up.

Much rather add a grad transfer who can shoot the ball, have one year and save the scholly for 2019.

The plan isn't for 2018-2019. He is waiting for the 2019-2020 class. Its loaded - that is the one everyone is waiting for. Look at East HS and his former AAU team (Team Penny -> Bluff City Legends)

Again, its about the 2019 class.

I would have liked to keep both Jamal and Nickelberry (I really like his game), but understand they want to play with a person of their choice. Wish them the best.

Wish Lik the best as well, but since we only had him one more year, his production is an easy replacement on a one to one basis with another JUCO or a grad transfer.

I certainly wish we had one or two more players signed, but new coaches have to have a year to work out the roster. That's when you know what the roster will look like.

Your concern is noted, and somewhat understood. However, I think it is premature.

The 2 recruits and the 3 transfers all saw the writing on the wall. They were going to be deep down the bench with the guys Penny and staff will bring in.

I like having open tryouts. It’s doubtful that you’ll find any players that will ever see the court, but it’s kinda cool to include more students. You might find a practice player or two, and it’s an easy way to promote the basketball program.

Back to Rhodes. I wish him well, but we really need additional scholarships now. Grad transfers, and looking at the two Arkansas players that will have to sit a year. It’s usually a good thing to keep one open unless you’re filling with players that can contribute. We lost a chance at a great player several years ago due to this (Stokes).
