Nah. We still have Tennessee and Kentucky to keep us company. Mississippi is only 66 miles away.
I'd like to see the SEC pull in a couple more schools on the outskirts of their current geography: Iowa St, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, TCU, West Virginia.
Let Texas sweat it out with the B1G, PAC, and ACC.
For fun...
North: Iowa St, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, West Virginia
West: Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, TCU, Texas A&M, Arkansas
South: LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi St, Alabama, Auburn
East: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina
The North is way too weak.
North (Old Big 8): Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State
West: (Old Rivals): Arkansas, L.S.U., Mississippi, Texas A&M, T.C.U.
South: Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
East: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, West Virginia
I just used the teams you had selected. But now there are Kings, challengers, run makers, and bottom dwellers in each geographically grouped division.
...and Auburn STILL doesn't get to play Florida every year!
To remedy that, switch Kentucky and Auburn. Sure, it gives Alabama a cakewalk and Auburn a tough road.

The reason I had the divisions as they were with the "way too weak" North was because the North is much more of a basketball division that a football division. West Virginia is good but that's it. It's also contiguous which is tough with West Virginia.
