If Kansas gets gutted due to the FBI probe, NMSU might actually be favored!

NMSU will slaughter WSU. Terrible Cougs team lost their two best (and only big impact) players and hasn't reloaded. Will be an easy win for NMSU year one

SV you forget that Ernie Kent is bringing in all this talent and they will have their best year yet! NMSU will win by 25/30 points and hopefully Kent gets the 2 boot salute after this next season.

I saw that the other road teams, the ones that the Roos will play at the neutral site, are Eastern Washington, Green Bay and Morehead State. So I'll just add those three as TBA

Usually one of the 4 mid majors hosts the other 3 in the 2K Classic while the 4 high majors play in New York. Could be different this year but Seattle U was in it last year and Belmont hosted SU, Detroit, and Houston Baptist. Went to Nashville for it, fun little Tournament, though pretty empty except for Belmont games. Last game was HBU/Detroit and there was probably 20 people there. And students maybe 20 feet away from the concorse doing homework while the game was going on lol (arena connects to student Union)

Isn't GCU also playing Boise State this year at home. I thought we had a home & away deal with them. Anyone know?

True, and are we supposed to host Illinois this year?

My understanding was the same as ProfScott's, in the Boise St will play at GCU in 2018-19. As far as Illinois goes, I feel like that may have been a one-off and not necessarily part of a series. Could be wrong, though.

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
Well trying to find some news on the WAC-Summit Challenge, I instead discovered GCU is in a "new Classic" with a very good lineup (worth buying tickets IMO) with three NCAA teams including the WCC and MWC champs, plus SEC's Tennessee along with the Lopes.

Dec. 9, 2018 Inaugural Jerry Colangelo Hoops Classic at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix.

Tennessee Volunteers vs Gonzaga Bulldogs

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
Good to see GCU beefing up their schedule. Getting to play Nevada in basically a home game and Boise State at home is a great get plus playing some good teams in a neutral site is fantastic. If GCU is ever to be taken seriously this is the schedule that needs to be done, not playing 10 homes games vs borderline junior college teams.

Here's hoping the WAC can have a good OOC record to boost overall conference rating. Maybe a two bid WAC won't be so far fetched this upcoming season.

The only way I see it happening is if a team is in the top 25, who loses in the WAC Tournament. It will only happen too if the conference as a whole improves scheduling.

USC came out with their 2018 non-conference basketball schedule yesterday and I noticed that the trojans will face CSU Bakersfield on Sunday, November 25th at USC.

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
Seattle U has added games at Stanford and at Cal. Stanford is a one time game while Cal completes a 2-for-1 started by Dollar.

That makes four Pac 12 games, two rivalry games, every team in the state of Washington besides Gonzaga, another regional mid major, and two preseason tournament/challenges

SU known games:

at Stanford (one time)
at Cal (completes two for one)
at Washington (apparently only scheduled thru this season for now)
vs Eastern Washington
vs Washington State (return trip by WSU)
at Portland (game two of H/H/H/H)
vs Omaha (WAC Summit Challenge)
Elgin Baylor Classic (Seattle U host) two or three of:
Denver
Fairfield
Longwood

Me gusta. That’s shaping up to be a solid OOC. I hope the other WAC teams follow Seattle‘s lead.
