With the Dixie State and Tareleton State additions I don't think the WAC feels it needs another footprint-stretching addition.

Dixie St is in Utah and Tarleton is near Dallas. Augustana would be a stretch, but better option than Chicago State

I didn’t mean to imply that the Dixie State or Tarleton State additions were footprint-stretching. That description was only intended to apply to Augustana.

What I should have said is that with Dixie State and Tarleton State coming aboard, the WAC is stable enough that it no longer needs to seek an addition outside its core footprint like Augustana. If anything it should be looking to push out the remaining outlier which is Chicago State.

Could you imagine if the Summit accepted Augustana, only for this to come out?

I don't think he's been cleared yet. Reports have been that the investigation was kicked to the feds, probably due to the multiple states involved(SD, AZ & CA). The investigation is still pending with the Justice Dept.

Also, three Summit schools already have athletic facilities with Sanford's name on them(through Sanford Health). Sanford Health Athletic Complex(basketball arena and main athletic support building) at NDSU, Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex(IPF/T&F) at SDSU, and the Sanford Coyote Sports Center(basketball/VB and sports med) at USD.

I believe NDSU and SDSU each received $10 million, all from Sanford Health, while USD has received a total of $52.5 million from both Sanford Health and Sanford himself. The breakdown of the USD money is $20M from Sanford Health for their sports center, $20M from Sanford to their med school(named changed to Sanford School of Medicine), and $12.5M from Sanford for their law school(named changed to honor Sanford's friend).

It was just a link to a story about how Kelly Krabbenhoft is Augie's biggest cheerleader.

KK is an Augie alumnus and probably the person most pushing their DI move. Between his own money and his position as CEO of Sanford Health, he was driving the money train. But an upcoming merger with a Rocky Mountain healthcare system where Sanford was the slightly lesser partner meant that KK was on his way out. Part of the deal is that the other CEO will run the combined system and KK would retire. And then KK sent the strange and stupid email last week about how he didn't have to wear a mask because he already had COVID, and that just sped everything up.

Well, so much for this "prediction". Take note of the post's date. 03-lmfao 03-lmfao 03-lmfao

I could see PUFW will be gone in the future as well.

Maybe or maybe not. Augustana's name popped up for the WAC in recent rumors.

Davey doesn't understand that if he himself starts the rumors, they don't count.

I was not the one who started this. It was the guy said Southern Utah to the WAC.

It doesn't matter what is happening at Augustana because Bill Gates will be the one to finance their D1 transition.

Another fine example of his “work”. I still believe “predicting” NJIT to the MEAC and then leaving to the America East in less than a week is a better example of his predicting “success”.
