WAC baseball [r] 2018
I noticed there was not a thread yet for this. I was in Utah over the weekend and saw UVU and Air Force on Monday. It was about 45 degrees but around 30 mph wind. UVU had a good starting pitcher, nice stadium as well. I think that they do or did share with a Low A pro team. There might have been 50 people at the game. I was asked to do a promotion answering questions about the team, but I said that I would get them all incorrect.

Paxton Schultze was his name. One other thing, people talk about inflation if attendence - look here

Wow!! Official attendance of 742 and you say there were only about 50 people there. That is a lot of number inflation taking place. Are you sure they were only counting people?

742 is most likely tickets sold not butts in seats.

RE: WAC baseball [r] 2018
I'm sure all schools don't use the same measures, and I wished of some things the NCAA mandates, it would include this across the D1 schools, at least.
I have also heard that some schools count EVERYONE in "Attendance" as in they attended, including players, coaches, ushers, everyone.

As far as my school is concerned, I DO know that we have almost completely sold out he entire center section of the baseball field. And, many times, not all seats are filled. Now, I have never really scrutinized the official count with the school by asking the ADept, but the numbers I see in attendance around the stadium seem to jive with the published attendance. In other words, if we used tickets sold, that published boxscore number would seem to me to be a lot higher, in most cases.

Do they even sell tickets for baseball games at UVU? I know GCU does not require a ticket for baseball. Do most WAC schools charge money to attend a baseball game?

$8.00 - adult
$4.00 - student

I would assume UVU students get into the game for free.

Also, Rob, just curious, why the [r] in thread title?

GCU clinches another WAC series win. 11 straight WAC series wins, haven't lost a WAC series since 2016.

[r] usually means results. I know that no one really cares here, but on many message boards no scores are given in the thread title, that way if someone was going to watch the game later, they can. Sorry, habit.

Really...hadn't noticed, Capt. Obvious. . Maybe we'll be there to kick you when you're down sometime.
I personally thought our volleyball team did ok in the conference tourney.

Sitting on a toilet somewhere and interacting with you.
