Yep. There have been quite a few NAIA conference changes announced recently, but I think Lewis–Clark State is the only one where a team is moving to a conference in the other division.

D2 conferences are listed under D1 conferences for a single sport since D2 do not sponsor the sport. Wrestling, bowling and some other sports are like this.

Updated with New NJCAA schools that added sports and joined the NJCAA for 2019/20 season and 2 that dropped. Made changes at the USCAA with 3 schools left for fall 2019 season. 2 schools added this year to the NCCAA. Added a new school to an Independent sports body as NIAC.

Oakland City University - D2, Indiana, is going NAIA.

They made an announcement of two coaching position openings on the NAIA job board, stating:

"Oakland City University has applied to the NAIA and is waiting on possible approval and full membership in the Fall of 2020."

There's probably a lot of D2 people saying it's about time. Oakland City has not played a proper D2 schedule in any sport in a long time, if ever, which made them ineligible for D2 postseason. It seems they have been more interested in NCCAA or USCAA competition than anything else.

In the NAIA, do new members submit applications in October and the approved new members get announced in April? If that is the case then Oakland City is looking join the NAIA for the Fall 2021 season.

You are mostly correct. It does appear that they applied in October, and if approved in April they will be members in Fall 2020. There's no delay as far as the NAIA is concerned.

We in the NAIA world have been wondering about Oakland City as well. It's obvious they are a bad fit for D2. And the signs were there.... their men's basketball played 1 NAIA school last year, but I think they have 7 or so on the schedule this year. And then they have this thing they call the Christian College NIT that they sponsor every year. Lately the participants in that have been NCCAA or USCAA teams or really weak NAIA teams. Since the majority of NAIA schools are Christian, it has the potential of being a good alternative for NAIA schools who don't make the national tournament.

Ok, I read it wrong. They applied in Oct 2019 and hoping for approval in Apr 2020 to leave D2 in Jul 2020.

Some time after Tuesday, we might hear the verdict from the D1 meatings to see if Saint Thomas, Minn. would be approved to go from D3 to D1.

UNT Dallas announces athletics for 2020-21

They "plan" to join the NAIA, so it appears they are shooting for an October application.

RE: Conference Realignment for D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and USCAA 2019 and Beyond
Currently, four schools are reclassifying to D2. Three of them came from D3 and the other one came from D1. All four schools who became full members in July 2019 came from NAIA making February 2016 the last time, to date, that a NAIA school applied for D2 membership. The SIAC offered an invitation to NAIA member Edward Waters College but it's not known IF or when EWC might accept.
