Imagine had the roles been reversed and MT was the team that had hit the go ahead HR in the bottom half of the inning but the inning couldn't be completed so the score would (and i'm asking at this point) go back to the previous completed inning?? 03-puke

he's swinging at it so much better lately.....he was swinging at wayyyy too many first pitches and pulling his head out.......

he's definitely making up for it now.....

when he's in the groove, that stroke is as pure as it gets.....he's 'scary fun' to watch at the plate....

Added it up last night but don't have it with me. He's hitting something like .480 with 7 home runs and 22 RBI over the last 14 games. That would include three grand slams, one walk-off homer, and a walk-off single. He's slugging near 1.000 and his on-base is probably close to .600.

In all fairness the game should have been called before the eighth started I left at end of seven and the sky was full of lightning all around. Vandy should have never had a chance to load the bases and get the grand slam. But the game reverted to the last complete inning and MT won. Surprised they didn't suspend the game and complete it when MT travels to vandy next month.

Me too. Must have been an agreement in place beforehand.

That said, couldn't have happened to a better group.

If you're replying to me, yeah, I think he was also, but LA Tech is nowhere near #22, which is what left me confused. They're in the 60's at the moment.

We need FAU in the polls. Three CUSA teams ranked would be nice.

Ahhh okay. Yeah, I tend to look at RPI more than subjective polls.

Yep. We NEED to win today and at least 2/3 this weekend. And we need to sweep more conference foes, particularly the home ones and high RPI teams. Increase our RPI and increase our ranking, dont get caught up in the "we are ranked" thoughts!

Taylor Braley and Matt Wallner each drove in three runs, while Nick Sandlin shut down a potent Louisiana Tech offense for four innings as Southern Miss completed the three-game sweep of the No. 23 Bulldogs 8-5 Sunday afternoon at J.C. Love Field.
