Good to see Ohio State ranked so highly after the way they womanhandled CMU in the tournament. Proves that there is no big school bias- they have to earn their ranking like everyone else.

And Florida State ranked so much higher than Buffalo after we beat them on their home court.

Congratulations to both teams. CMU and UB were the top 2 mid major teams in the country this year. The only other non power conference ranked teams are UConn at #3, South Florida at #24, and FGC at #25. Note that in the tournament, UB beat #24 USF and #14 Florida State ( on their home court), both by over 20 points. CMU beat #15 Big Ten Champ Ohio State on their home court, and beat them badly. This was truly the greatest season ever for MAC women's basketball.

of course this all means that scheduling non conference games next year will be hell
