Why? Because he's friendly to UAB? Have you advocated the same leniency of bus-tossing for others who have been indicted?

If they flipped Hammon - and it's pretty obvious they did - I suspect Jack and Howdy Doody are about to feel those Greyhound tires.

Once he goes through the federal process he'll be subject to state ethics charges I'm sure. Even if he didn't benefit personally not reporting a known violation is itself a violation.

No because I personally know him outside of UAB and consider him a friend. I do not personally know any of the others. Maybe he is guilty, maybe he is not but when you personally know someone it’s different. What if your friend was indicted? Would he get the benefit of doubt or would you assume he is guilty? Would you think he is in Innocent until proven guilty or would you condem them immediately?

Why? Because it's innocent until PROVEN guilty. It continues to amaze me how many people jump to obviously must be guilty because the government arrested them, when many of those same people don't trust the government in any other way.

Now, I don't know what happened or if he did or didn't do anything. But until the courts rule otherwise...

Innocent until proven guilty does not apply to the court of public opinion

My opinion that he is a crook has nothing to do with charges against him. It HSS to do with him trying to get rid of an ethics bill a few years back.

The present leadership in the Alabama legislature is STILL trying to construct bypasses around the state's ethics laws as we speak. A new law they considered in this session would remove some lobbyists from ethics laws all together.

Technically it WAS considered, but it didn't get a whole lot of time. They pretty quickly decided not to bring it to a vote.

Amen

"Bad" Jack was my representative and I had liked and originally supported him before I knew better.

Jack was a leader defending/mouth piece for the Convicted speaker of the house, Hubbard.

AB, If you think "bad" Jack is not a crook in general and you are still a good friend - JUSY ANSWER simple question what the Hell does he do for a living except as a "consultant" - but not an illegal for an legislature lobbyist
