I wanted to make a separate thread just devoted to Nick and not the team etc. Nick put in a lot of time representing UAB on leadership councils. He also made excellent grades while having to juggle volunteering, basketball, and some semblance of social life. I know first hand how difficult that can be at a tough school like UAB.

I just wanted to say thanks Nick. I enjoyed your time on the court and appreciate all you've done off the court.

Good luck and I'll be pulling for you wherever you land.

Motion seconded. I don't think we could have asked for a better representative of the term "student-athlete". I know there are big things in his future well beyond basketball.

All the best to Nick, wherever he lands. We're going to miss him, on and off the court.

Yes Nick seemed to be a real classy ambassador for the program.

I will miss him and always cheered for him and was crushed when he blew out his ACL two years ago.

RE: Nick Norton
Same here. I suspect he is putting priority on his schooling over his ball playing which probably is a good choice in the long run.

I will follow his career wherever he goes. He wants to go into coaching and I think he is a natural leader and will make a good one. He was an exceptional point guard for us and will miss him.

Will miss you Nicky.
