Losing some really good players and both your DCs, I think it would be a fools game to expect it to be better considering those defenses were among the best the SBC has ever seen.

His replacement has posted back to back 2-10 seasons. Our AD expects his coaches to provide no negative press and to graduate players. Winning is apparently not high on his list of expectations.

It would be nice to have all three but if I had to choose I would take the two the AD cares about over winning but having scandals and not graduating the players.

I am very appreciative that App is winning and graduates the players by and large and does so without lots of scandals.

RE: Expectations
10-11 wins - amazing given the talent and leadership lost.

8-9 wins - very good season

6-7 wins - below many fans expectations, but probably means we slipped up against S.Miss and early SBC games as we look to replace talent and more importantly leadership.

5 or less - meltdown from fans

I understand your skepticism. Basing my opinion on the guys who started and played the last several games. A lot of midyear injuries allowed a lot of guys to gain a ton of experience. Toledo was by far our best game and only four off that 22 deep are gone. Of course the X Factor is how Brown calls games and anticipates what the offense is doing. Woody gave his assistants a lot of input in game planning and scheming. Brown designed and called coverages during games. I've just got a feeling this is going to be a special group.
