RE: CFN's 2018-19 Spring MAC Bowl Projections
I hope this is accurate, I recently moved to CO Springs and I work with the US AFA on items. It would be great to talk some Ohio smack talk over here haha! Also a game I can actually attend too!

What you say is true most of the time, but Marshall chose to play NIU because they saw them as a better opponent than UI that year, so its not always a bottom rung P5 that a G5 champ wants to play, and I agreed with the decision to play NIU over them, they definitely had the better ball club and whoever won the game had bragging rights over at least 2 conferences. We need a champ vs. champ setup, it would make things a bit more interesting imo. I don't recall how well the game was attended. Almost had that last year with Troy and UNT. I don't think the AAC or even MW would agree to do it, but I think the belt, MAC and CUSA could come to some agreement behind the scenes and use shared bowls as an avenue.
I think its more about the bowl game itself than who you played it it.
Fiesta, Cotton, Peach.......Holiday, Sun, Independence...Liberty
G5 needs to try and get the Holiday, Sun, Independence, Liberty tier of games back for itself for its champions.

P5 will never let that happen, they took em from us and will scratch an claw to keep em. Then you have the AAC that is willing to slit the other G5 conferences throat so they can act like they are a power conference. I wish some of the old days would come back but then again, go 10-1 or whatever and not making a bowl doesn't sound fun either. Boca is a nice get a way for a bowl, I am not against keeping that one, there are some that need to go though, like Bahamas.....

That would be fine with me, though we'd have to be better than last year or I would predict yet another bowl loss.
