Now for the BIG one on Tuesday night.
Hey! How exciting is it to be 18-4!!!
Praise the Lord! The plus side is that most of the men will return although Lovell, Keegan and even Zach will be missed. Our program is on a great trajectory; onward to the Lipscomb game! I might leave work early to go to the game.

Tough win! I like our grit but that was too close for comfort.

Credit to the Lady Flames. They have won 5 in a row and improved their record to 9-12 (5-3). The young team is showing improvement.

Nice bounceback win tonight over NJIT. Very solid performance. Crowd looked good. Anybody know what the attendance was?

According to discussion on ASOR, it seem like there was around 3700 in attendance tonight.

Who’da thought last place Stetson would be our closest game of the season? But, a win’s a win. There was a lid on our bucket tonight for sure. Hey we are 20-5. That’s spectacular!

I’m feelin’ like today vs. FGCU will be similar to Stetson. FGCU is playing better. But maybe Coach got the boys attention and we win by 20.

What a heart breaker for the ladies against 1st place FGCU. The final was 65-64. Liberty had two shots at the end to win the game. The real story is..... 24 turnovers doomed the team.

The FGCU game turned out just like I imagined. Good effort by our fellas tonight vs. a much improved team.
And another good crowd..... 4,400.

Amazing win! We just proved that Lipscomb is beatable and we avenged our only league loss. I wonder if there will be a round three.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
I would kinda be surprised if we didn’t meet up in the championship. We still have four solid games left and we could lose any one of them. North Alabama will play us tough at their place with us coming off the big win. North Florida gave us all we could handle at our place and now we gotta go there. Kennesaw should be an easy win. At NJIT to end the seasonnis no slouch game. That being said, we finish up 26-5 and play Lipscomb again for the A-Sun title in Nashville, lose and head to postseason at 28-6..... receiving an NIT bid.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
Kudos to McKay. As one who questioned his return hiring, he displayed a strong progression in evolution of the program with the TN LU defeat. McKay had his team better prepared and the team played with more physicality and grit. The hustle and desire factor was a clear advantage for LU. Specifically, the offensive rebounding of Scottie was huge. The LU big bodies inside play was dominate with strong offense and defense play.
The obvious clutch LU 3 pointer near the end extinguished any remaining hope for a TN comeback. Most impressive was the calmness and maturity the team showed when TN was only 2 points down. Past LU teams would wilter and lose such an away game. Not this time.
McKay coached and managed a great game. He had his team laser focused, he used his substitutions wisely, especially with both big bodies with 4 fouls. TN LU was the media mid major darling with most all projecting them to run the ASun undefeated, and be a 12 or 13 seed. This was one night LU changed a long term pattern of losing into a convincing win.
If LU and TN LU end with one loss, who gets the #1 seed? The new NET ranking, which had TN at #30, and LU at #61 before the TN loss, makes the determination. With LU's poor past performance, it's likely TN LU will be the higher seed. The tourney site will be an advantage to the home team.
A victory over Lipscomb in the finals would do more to propel LU than any other game. Only eclipsed by an upset March Madness victory.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
Ladies (11-14) with a big win over N. Alabama (17-4) (2nd in A-Sun) today. That makes the 1 point loss to FGCU sting that much more. We’d be right there in the run for conference championship if we’d won that one.

Good wins! Our men are (have been for a few games) locked into the one or two seed of the conference. Excellent season so far!

FGCU beat LU-TN yesterday night! This gives LU a chance to win the ASUN regular season.
