Any school looking for a guard should be contacting him .. He's a special player.

Ehh, he was definitely really solid for a stretch during the middle of conference play. But I don't think he had the physical profile to be a great two way player...

He plays two way fine. He doesn't match Marshall's style, he's "soft". With so many people leaving and the new conference I think Marshall wants to really set the tone and lay a foundation. IMO Reeves lack of scrap and claw made him a casualty even though he is a good player.

Reaves has all the "scrap and claw" you could ask for. His problem is that multiple shoulder surgeries have prevented him from developing the upper body strength required for D1 ball. This was to have been the 1st offseason in years without a surgery to recover from. I had really expected to see a much stronger Reaves next year.

He was the second scrappiest player behind Rashard Kelly. If every player last year had his attitude we would’ve won the AAC and advanced in the tournament. He was weak and small but his first off-season of being healthy would’ve helped a lot with that. Some people are trying to look for the silver lining but the reality is that there isn’t any. Huge loss.

He just magically got punked by smaller players? Rob Gray toasted him and Reeves struggled with 50/50 plays. It's lack of toughness, I've never seen him be even mildly physical with a wing or guard. He has length and athletic abiality but is a pull up jump shooter. He gets out fought and lacked a killer instinct. Shaq and Shamet were the ones who made teams pay late in games and showed fight. Conner to a lesser degree. Reeves wasnt in it though.

Still a great player, but not what I think of when you say Play Angry. I agree huge loss. No silver lining

Funny that someone on this board compared him to JP Macura and might have even used the word scrappy when making the comparison. Austin exemplified Play Angry, he just didn’t have the body to be a star. I fully expected him to all All-Conference by the time he graduated and he’s going to shine wherever he ends up.

Dooley is just going about his work:

He recently offered this kid:

He re-offered one of the kids that asked for their release.

Aresco did a live video conference with the ECU BOT as they discussed the $3.2 million deficit.

As long as WSU keeps its coach and its big donors I suspect you'll be fine. There will always be down years but you'll get players and you'll recover.

That would be a terrible waste of talent. Reeves was one of my favorite Wheaties. Tons of upside. Tough loss.

Shockers are going to need names on the FRONT side of their unis next season.

Even for 2020 ? Guess it makes sense though since UCF only a few guys as seniors. Still though, there has to be at least 2 or 3 openings in 20' ?!
