This former UAB assistant basketball coach recently was a head coach, but coached his team to an 0-20 record, despite having a player who is 7'8".

The answer is Tom Schubert, who was an assistant coach in Murry Bartow's last year. He was recently head coach of the Washington Generals, who lost under his watch 20 straight to the Harlem Globetrotters.

The article indicated that he first took a job with the Globetrotters to work as a referee. He did this until he learned that the referees were responsible for washing the uniforms for both teams on the road. He was going to quit, and they made him the Generals coach.

Yes!! They are what comedians call the "straight man" to the comedy act of the star attraction. They set up the situations that the star then uses to humorous advantage. It is what Laurel was to Hardy, Bud Abbot was to Lou Costello, Dean Martin to Jerry Lewis, Allen to Burns and Elaine May to Jerry Stiller. There have been countless others.
