What are we expecting here? Pitchers duel or hitters clinic?

I'm expecting to get beatdown but that's just my pessimistic side after a few years of sucking.

I'm hip, Butler needs to put up or shut up this season.

I’d say he needed to do that a couple seasons ago.

The thing is, after this year, we lose a lot. We aren’t paying this guy the kind of money to produce something worth watching once every 5 years. And this year is still in the TBD category.

6-1 Shocks in the 4th.

I like it.

Edit: Final Score WSU 14, ECU 3.

You were right, beat down. Just went our way. Maybe they've got it figured out!

I hope so, but i'm not going to let one game convince me.

Its a good start to conference play though, we just need to sustain it and take the series.

RE: WSU (18-4) @ ECU (18-5)
HUGE win. Did not see that coming at all. Need to get 1 of the next 2 to pick up a huge road series win at a Top 20 RPI team.

We have our best chance tomorrow with Liam Eddy on the mound. Bats need to keep bringing the lumber.

It's nice to feel a little bit of excitement with baseball again after about a decade or so.

Alec Bohm is a freaking stud. Dude could have a serious impact at the highest level of this sport IMO.

Dugas strikes out on 3 pitches with the bases loaded in the 8th. No one is surprised.

No one? ECU was. I was. Those were 3 wicked good curve balls. He still had a good night. Definitely did more good than bad.

When a guy has a career SO rate of 35% you should never be surprised when he whiffs.

27 people are put out on each team very game. Would a guy that grounds out 35% of the time be better?

Yes. Good things can still happen when you put the ball in play. Grounders get booted, throws in the dirt don't get picked, etc...

Can those happen if you dont swing the bat? Against a good team like ECU you have to be swingong to make anything happen. The pitcher did well.

WSU loses game 3 5-0.

1-2 on the road against a ranked team is an OK result at this point. We just need to bounce back against OSU and Tulane.

Wow, the excuse train in here is unbelievable.

Of course, a Louisiana native is defended like he's the son of God. Although, I think Christ himself could hit a curveball.
