Can't name the last time a program of that caliber came to play at UNCW. Great job McGrath!

Great news!!! Also, getting them to come to town while the students are on campus is huge. So I'm gonna assume the UNC home game will be in 2019. A major flex from C.B. for getting these schools to come to Trask.

That's really cool. Stanford is the first P5 program to visit Trask since WFU in December 2009 (an 11 point loss).

I was actually at the game. We got smoked, but one our players, Carlos Rogers (I think) was trying to dunk on them non stop.

The initial release said Friday, November 19th 2018. 11/19 doesn't fall on a Friday this year. So it's either Friday, November 16th or Monday November 19th... Really hoping for the 16th...

CB mentioned this was all but a done deal during the early fall roadshow in Charlotte last year. Glad to see it came to fruition.

This is exciting though I'm sure Claflin will be devasted. Prior to wake, the last p5 we had at home I believe was Colorado for Benny Moss' first home game at UNCW

Temi Soyebo, of all people, almost put up a triple-double for us in that one. 12 points, 9 boards, and 8 steals. 8 steals!! That tied a school record for steals in a game with Bob Martin, who I believe set the record in Trask's very first game, against Wake (1977).

He also had 5 assists. Talk about a weird stat-stuffing night.

The write-up says we have a 2-4 record against the Pac 12, but does not include our win in the tourney against USC. How could they forget that?

Well, Coach Bibby had never heard of UNCW, and the NCAA sent the plane to Wilmington, DE. There have been a lot of people that tried to forget about that game.

RE: Stanford home and home with UNCW
Henry Bibby had heard of UNCW, he was born and raised in NC. The Seahawks were better than SC that year and deserved to win that game. What a great night in the old Arco Arena in Sac Town. There were not that many of us Seahawks at that game, but I can guarantee you everyone knew we were there. As Ed Williams wrote on the chalkboard after the game, HISTORY!
