O/T: Alexander Out at UDM
The only EMU connection I can make, other than UDM created their dumpster fire, but they have a very good player, Corey Allen, from Ypsilanti.

If Corey wants out and wants to return home...

That would be awesome. I hope they change the player transfer rule where they can play immediately if the head coach gets fired or leaves the program. This would inherently create a much more administrative process and player movement but would be fair for the player as they often times aren't going to a school just because of the prestige.

My only thoughts about Corey is that the B1G might be calling. I'd think Corey has high major abilities if he wants to try at that level.

Oh, my. While we are discussing cutting sports, Corey Allen apparently indicated last week that he IS transferring.

Man, he'll be much sought after...

Yeah I see him going high major for sure. Pretty solid shooting numbers.

It would be a shame to see him driving to the Convo and get lost and head west on Washtenaw and end up in Ann Arbor instead of EMU... 03-lmfao

Did you all see former UDM coach, who now is an assistant at Georgia State say about mid-majors? Essentially, they are the major programs minor league system. They poach players they missed and that is ruining the mid-major game.

I agree. That was always a fear for us with JTIV. But, James just wanted to play. Not always the case.

That reminds me, remember Brandon Cotton?

The MOST important thing about JT4 is that he MUST graduate to be eligible to transfer without sitting out.

He is much more likely to go NBA than be a grad transfer.

I just don't believe a biology major can get 4 academic years completed in 3 (while playing MBB).

That could be nice as they would have 2 years to play together.

@emu_steve; I was more so talking about early on in his EMU career. Everyone saw he could be at a top major after his first year and certainly could have done so. Now, yes, it's too late. It's either sit out a year and play against higher level talent, play another at EMU, or go pro now...

Tough decisions...

I'm predicting UofD hires Bronkema from Ferris State

This is certainly a popular theory on UDM’s discussion board.

But if I had to make a prediction, it wouldn’t be Bronkema.

I hope Luckey isn't using fan forums as his basis for that prediction. 04-jawdrop

I'm somewhat surprised that Klint Pleasant from Rochester College doesn't show up in some of these conversations.
I understand that they play at a much lower level, but all he does is win.

Oh wow, Rochester won their national championship this year.

I always wonder how you know when that translates. I guess he would have to jump to the GLIAC to demonstrate his chops unless somebody took a chance on him?

Rochester isn't a NAIA dynasty so one championship doesn't mean much.

Pleasant would need to climb the ladder either by going into D-I as an assistant coach or D-II as a head coach.

Then he needs to prove himself again ala the "Ferris flash... "

I would not classify Bronkema as a flash because he has won a lot of games consistently. To win the D2 national championship is more impressive than what Braun achieved while he was at Siena Heights. Bronkema has accomplished a lot for only being the head coach at Ferris for 5 years.

Once again, Braun got the EMU HC job because of what he did at EMU, not Siena Heights.

What he did at Siena got him a seat on the EMU bench.
