This dude just said the city isn't going to get anything back from alcohol sales or other sales at the stadium. I guess I'm just insane, but I thought for sure people knew how taxes work.

If there's anything that people don't understand, white or black, it's how taxes actually work.

They also don't know how economic development works.

They are mixing the car tax and the citys investments.

And now he's talking about the funds from the state are only going to the BJCC for the building of the stadium, and he's interpreting that to mean all money related to the stadium would go to the stadium. I mean, come on now...

And then the councilman talks about how they're trying to make sure "black people are treated right." How outrageous is that? Can you imagine a white councilor saying he/she was there to make sure "white people are treated right?" This is the most racist meeting I think I've ever heard in my life. Even the people on my side are talking about it in racist terms.

This is tough to watch.

He's saying plaque people, but it just sounds like "black" people. He should have picked a different word instead of "plaque."

Also sounds like he's against the stadium while wearing a UAB jacket.

Yeah that was terrible. Listening to everyone who has spoken, I would have to think UAB is even against this stadium if I were on the council.
