Those are such great series to have. TXST has an ongoing one with UTSA and even after multiple painful seasons, that game still sells out.

I would, but our AD has stated that he's not interested in 2-1 deals. Although, now that we're a little more financially stable, I wonder if his tune will change.

He wouldn't take $1M for a guarantee game with NC or SC and a home and home? Ask him that versus the misnomer GS fans and your AD continue to use.

They're just jealous and looking for excuses to make our deals look bad.

Plain and simple.

Some GS fans may be jealous but I'm good with our future schedules as they now stand. The only P5 schools I would like to see visit Paulson are Georgia Tech, Georgia, FSU, Miami and Clemson. That's a high bar and probably not going to happen for most of those so If I can't get those I don't really care about the rest of them. I'd just a soon go see Houston or BYU as to have some far flung P5 come to play at our place acting like they are doing us a favor.

ULM has done its share in the past in hosting Minnesota, Baylor (national TV), and Wake Forest. At one time we had Kansas coming to Monroe but they bought their way out of that contract. Getting a P5 to come to a G5 stadium is getting harder and harder to do...it happens but getting rare.

I think it's like a lot of folks have said. It's all dependent on a few factors.....where you're located, recruiting opportunity in your area, or how prominent your team is aka would it be a decent victory at the end of the season if they won.

Only a total of 12? CUSA East has 17. I didn't look at the West. I honestly didn't realize Sun Belt teams had this hard of a time getting P5s scheduled at home.

Why is this?

Why is this?

Because of the ODU VA Tech series? Apart from this deal and Marshall's deals (which are very similar to Troy's deals both will host (Boise St and) NC State; Pitt and Miss St are comparable), I don't see better deals in CUSA. In fact, App St will host S. Carolina which is the best home game when considering both conferences.

CUSA East:

Charlotte: Duke (2021), Maryland (2022), North Carolina (2025)
FIU: Miami (2021) - not sure if this is a true home game though
FAU: none
Marshall: NC State (2018), Pittsburgh (2020)
MTSU: Duke (2019), Missouri (2022)
ODU: VA Tech series (2018-2031), Wake Forest (2020)
WKU: Louisville (2019, at Nashville), Indiana (2021)

CUSA West:

LA Tech: Baylor (2023), NC State (2025)
UNT: California (2022), TX Tech (2027)
Rice: Wake Forest, Baylor (2019)
USM: Miss St (2024)
UTEP: TX Tech (2020)
UTSA: Baylor (2018)

Good point. Pretty sure FIU's is a legit home game. They actually do a good job of hosting P5s and their attendance still stinks.

I think App State has done a heck of a job with scheduling since they moved up. Happy for them and still wish we were in the same conference. Glad we at least renewed the series.

The FIU-Miami game will probably be played at Marlin's park. FIU stadium doesn't have enough seats and they definitely won't play as the home team at Hard Rock Stadium.
