4th in SBC East, ouch! We have gone through some very rough years building a proper FBS-caliber roster since we jump-started the program less than a decade ago, but this is the first year I am somewhat confident in the talent of our roster deep into the depth chart.

Yeah I would put you 3rd or tied for 2nd with Troy. You guys are on the rise.

3rd is alright with me because I respect both Troy and App as football schools (Southern also belongs in this category in a typical year imo.) Not overlooking Georgia Southern either, they will have a similar 6-7 win seasons like us. SBC East is tough! 04-cheers

Danterius Ellington is going to make you guys a lot better on offense. I think Troy is going to have a hard time winning the league with all the dual threat guys in the belt this year. Troy's defense is one of the best in the country, but doesn't handle dual threat or triple option guys very well.

True, but strangely opposing teams never really take advantage of this...

Hilarious . . . I love when these writers "Do their Homework."

If we are last again, then Everett or "Bill" or whomever ... should get the hell out of Dodge.

I thought it was Carl Weathers

Yeah, one can sing, and one can act ...

. . . I just hope that "ours" (this year) shows that he can Coach.

I've noticed the same, hah. I remember Boise and Georgia State as an example. They were carving us up when they ran their QBs, but they only seemed to do it for a few plays and then back to getting sacked with their pocket passers.

If Coach Campbell can improve our o-line, I think we can finish top 4. If not, we'll be a 5-6 win team again building for next year.

Luckily, Steve Campbell is one of the best o-line coaches in college football. I'm just not sure if we have the bodies to get it done this quickly.

South Alabama and Ga Southern probably are the hardest 2 to predict right now

South is the easiest of the news(ish) staffs to predict. They have the pieces to improve. The o-line will get better, but a quick-shot passing game can cover up a lot of the o-lines misgivings.

GS is hard to predict because we don't know whether or not Lunsford is the true Messiah. We'll find out soon enough.

I don't know anything about Louisiana's new coaching staff, so I would think the cajuns are the hardest to predict.

Also, congrats to Arkansas State for winning the ACC!

State just needs a QB and RB to compete in the East, and we need a coaching staff.

Both teams have reason to hope IMO.

BTW, Monquavion Brinson > Clifton Duck (even statistically with Duck having vastly superior coaching) 05-stirthepot

Need a better OL performance as well. SE has said repeatedly he wants to be a team that runs the ball. Well they performed to the tune of 3.21 YPP last year. That won't get it done. Some of that may be the fact that Manning was a horrible QB to have if you wanted rushing production from that position.

It'll be interesting to see if that part of the offense improves for them.

Also Brinson >>>.

Who is Brinson???

Hopefully Bill can sing at halftime for us. Games have been hard to sit through the last few years, that would help.
