You need to listen to me right now-sometimes a team plays beneath their abilities because the other team makes it so. Not acknowledging this makes you sound foolish and ignorant about how sports work. You’re not foolish and ignorant are you?

First line is an excuse. You had the entire team back from a 4 loss season with a NCAAT win, and a close loss to Kentucky. Plus the coach who has a far better record, especially in the postseason, than any other in your history.

Then the second line is a full on, angry jab at all your conference mates.

And the third paragraph completes the trifecta with 3 lines of whining.

That's always been one of your problems here. Anytime you get beat, no credit given to the opposing team, whether it's Temple, Houston, or Marshall.

Yep, I have to agree. According to some Shocker fans WSU’s opponents never win a game instead WSU loses the game to an inferior opponent.

Don't kick anyone out! We have a good group of schools. Lets continue to build them. That said, let's also look forward to possibly expanding in another 5-7 years should the B12 not implode - but only expand with the right schools that can add revenue and add to the athletic prowess of the conference.

The schools that are candidates for one day include USM, UAB, FGCU, and Army.

The problem with your proposal other than BYU no one else brings nothing to AAC table.

If we expand BYU and who ever else they want... cough... San Diego State... cough... must be it.

So much emotional release coming CB's way this afternoon from all directions. I quickly found myself overwhelmed. I would love to personally respond to each and every one of my lovely triggered trolls, but alas, I am only one man. I will make you mental midgets a deal though: I will attempt to address your questions and concerns in this thread and for a limited time only.

Please be gentle. 05-duck

If you had any honor you would apologize to the entire board both for this performance and also for your cocky and arrogant attitude towards your fellow conference fans.

As a UCF fan, I will NEVER disrespect an opponent or assume victory or look down on any opponent. I might needle the hell out of USF but I also respect the hell out of them.

As a UCF fan you CAN'T disrespect a basketball opponent because your program isn't good enough.

The only thing I'm apologizing for is the inconsistent effort out of the Shockers all year long culminating in a national full-on pant-shitting moment.

Instead of One Shining Moment, I'm calling it our One Shitting Moment.

From an eye-test standpoint, Marshall was one of the weakest teams we played all year. Kenpom gave 'em a 100. Marshall reminded me of a mediocre UNI team. The way we played today, a game against any CUSA member would not be a sure thing until the final horn sounded.

The reason why some here are snickering at Wichita's loss is due to the collective arrogance of many of their fans that have been here the past year.

That said, well done Herd.

The reason most are snickering is because Wichita State came into this league on a tidal wave of hype. Hype that was built up on the back of a 10-5 record in the NCAA tournament since 2012, one of the best road records in the NCAA, one of the best defense averages in the NCAA, One of the best average win totals in the NCAA, and one of the most exciting and consistent performers in the NCAA tournament. There are many other accolades I could list but I'll allow others to chime in.

The main point is, we came into this league preseason top 10 with a returning class that won 30 games last season. Our entrance to the AAC instantly legitimized it as a power.

You came into this game like you were gonna blow past them and it bit you in the butt

We didn't get punched in the mouth by anybody today. We punched ourselves in the nuts.

An interesting side story: at the beginning of the season, BC1 warned me that Cincy was gonna punch us in the mouth and then stomp on our throats when we faced them. Early in the game at Wichita, Shaq came out of for a moment with a suspected bloody lip. I laughed a little and though immediately of BC1. 04-cheers (this story has nothing to do with anything I'm saying right now - my memory of it was jogged when I read , "punch you in the mouth" in the paragraph above.

More importantly, we let ourselves down. We've been playing suspiciously weak all season long. Today would be the low point game of the year. Perfect timing right? 03-hissyfit

Some of us were arrogant for a reason you simpleton. Pre-season Top 10 and #3 in the nation affords a modicum of arrogance.

UCF is still waiting to be taken serious nationally in any sport so I'm wasting my time trying to explain the concept of National Power to you.

Shouldn't you be out buying more billboards advertising your fraudulent national championship? Get back to work, UCF still has an ounce or two left of self-respect to burn.

one could definitely argue 2 NY6 bowl wins are bigger than anything wichita state has ever done. And one would probably right with that argument

Hardly. Our Final Four in 2013 was likely viewed by more people than both of your bowls put together. It was estimated that our Final Four run was worth $500 million in publicity value to the university. I believe we are still reaping benefits to this day. I had no idea UCF even had a football team until I joined this conference. 10's of millions all across the world know about Wichita State's Final Four run.

As long as Marshall stays at Wichita State, he will eventually build the program up to a level where his teams use this conference like a 16 year old uses a pocket pu$$y.

Geez, Wichita has a very successful program, and he's spoiled by what they've become, where losing to a team they're better than is a major disappointment. But he's so disappointed, he can't even watch as they're just behind to that team. Goodness, save your tears, 7 years ago, Wichita was just a random team in the Valley.

That's always been one of your problems here. Anytime you get beat, no credit given to the opposing team, whether it's Temple, Houston, or Marshall.

I give credit when credit is due. And credit is due when we are playing at our best and get beat.

I gave credit to Notre Dame in 2015
I gave credit to Kentucky in 2014
I didn't give full credit to Kentucky in 2016 because we played kind of poorly but that could have been due to their NBA roster.
I didn't give full credit to Louisville because we got jobbed royally by the refs. and kind of collapsed towards the end after being up by 12 points.
I gave full credit to SMU for beating us (but now I'd like to take a little of that credit back as after the season was complete, it was evident statistically that we had a glaringly uncharacteristic defensive problem that persisted through every game we played. Had we demonstrated our normal Marshall defense - 2009-2017 - maybe SMU doesn't bet us)
I think I gave credit to Cincy for beating us in Wichita (but I did remind them that they barely won and we slapped them at their place)
I will never give credit to Temple for beating us at their place. Hell, even Marshall has stated numerous times that we gave that game away and he doesn't say that very often. It was reminiscent of today's performance with respect to laziness and lack of focus.

Oh, and I gave Houston 75% credit for beating us down in Ozone City as per our agreement for beating Cincy.

BOOM!

The End! (for now)

Just ignore this ******* that refuses to share any amount of humility. The ignore button is here for a reason.

I understand C|B. He has great optimism for his team and refuses to accept them when they play anything less than stellar. Because he knows what they are capable of and I can't blame him for that. He is a great fan for his team.

He would also be that mom whose son is in jail and swears he is the most saintly person alive do there is that also.

I made a comparison earlier between the 2016 UH football team and this years Shockers. People from both fan bases disagreed with my comparison but given their early exit I believe my comparison has been vindicated. The two teams are one in the same. As are the fan bases.

How to say this nicely...

You deserve it.

You better check yourself flyboy. The second you pull that holier-than-thou shat is the second you'll find yourself in a proverbial parachute malfunction and I'll be standing on the ground with a hot poker in my hands waiting for your arse...

My point was and still is that yea shall reap what yea sow. To your credit, at least you didn't disappear like some on this board have.
