Is anyone else just tired of this buzzword being thrown around college football?

RE: Culture
We've seen a paradigm shift with a lot of programs really pushing the envelope by creating synergy through their respective programs in order to prioritize winning. They are leveraging the buzzwords to empower the athletes and get more people into the ballparks. We need to put the old traditions to bed, so to speak.

If you can't grok this modality, perhaps you should do a cost-benefit analysis of your ROI from participating in other sport-watching opportunities of less than next-gen natures. Because honestly, your thoughts here aren't synergizing with the stakeholders in this community.

Go watch baseball or something.

RE: Culture
With my job I attend leadership seminars annually. "Workplace culture", or "team culture" are buzzwords in business too. But they actual mean something. It is more than just saying it over and over, but rather getting everyone on the "team" to buy in to the fact that to achieve a collective goal, all the individual parts have to be committed, responsible (to get your job done because everyone else relies on it), and eager to work collectively to achieve a common goal. These things work in business quite well, and some of the most successful companies and business people in the country and world swear to it. It works with sports teams too, and whether you love or hate Fleck, this is what he did well, even in the face of all the mocking he got the first couple years (the mocking seemed to be a lot less his last year for some reason).

Lester talked about "culture" when he got here too. Problem was, in my mind, he conspicuously abandoned many of the hallmarks that Fleck put in place, which the players bought into and understood. Saying "we have a winning culture" means nothing. Making sure everyone is moving in the same direction, with the same high commitment and work ethic, from head coach to every player, right down to the water boy. Lester couldn't be Fleck, and shouldn't be, but he needs to be a great leader for our program to be great again. He doesnt need to be loud or overly enthusiastic. He has a very good personality, and that is who he should be.

Oh; no matter what though, he still needs to throw on first down, and run on third and long. LOL.

RE: Culture
My problem with the word is that teams that have lots of Championships are considered to have culture while teams that don't have lots of Championships don't have culture. It's silly in that sense.
