Spring week #3 video
FYI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvKe9Zmh...e=youtu.be

No big news. A QB is playing RB for practice purposes due to guys still being injured, but he didn't say who (Mussat I imagine). Also a WR, probably still Davie. He said top five running backs injured right now, so add Walker or Ekwoge to the list. Unreal.

Lester still sounds optimistic that everyone will be back for summer training, including Tranquill.

Not much point in pushing through any sort of knocks, even if it's something guys would play through in the fall without thinking twice.

Good to hear about Tranquill.

Do they NOT want people to attend? Baseball is also home that weekend. Makes for a nice afternoon...weather permitting.

Yikes. Can someone please explain their thinking in having it be in the Seelye Center? (Not that the spring game is that interesting, and I still don't understand how teams like UofM sell-out those games) but still....... how can you not play it in your actual freaking football stadium?

RE: Spring week #3 video
Seelye Center?!!?!?!

If that's the case (even though I can't make it this year due to spring break), it's sad. I've always thought the Spring Game was an opportunity, but it was rarely treated as such. Once in the Cubit years an attempt to organize an alumni game was made, can't remember if it turned out. I thought surely Fleck would do something with it, but instead it became convoluted and they even had issues printing out rosters for it again. Who can't hit "print" and make 200 copies on plain white paper? Is the Athletic Dept. that hard up?

Is there nobody with any vision for it? We have quite a few big-name NFL players now, we can't get one back in town to help promote it, give kids a chance to meet a real star? You get Terry Crews to come and put some minimal promotion behind it, or a Greg Jennings...

Sigh.

I know that September is still quite a long way off.

But hearing that our running backs are still sidelined from injuries deep into March from this past football season is disconcerting.

Still, 60K for a practice game? Not even vs another school?

I think it’s a great idea having it in the Seeley. Usually draws a couple thousand, who knows what the weather will be like. Plenty of space to put 2k people in there, might be a noisy atmosphere. Be nice if Bronco video productions did a 20 minute highlight video, maybe mic up Lester.

How do you intend to put 2,000 people in the Seeley center during an active football game? It's a 70 yard field with about 10' between walls and sidelines. They going to play "half court"?

Somebody said there is going to be a concurrent wine tasting event in the second level event and reception space. I imagine most of the wives will drift over there. The second level balconies can hold a lot of serious viewers, and could be some tailgate type rooms with finger food, that would get the ball rolling for a spring event something like breakfast with the Broncos. People eat that stuff up. Make them get a warm fuzzy.

Some Night Train Express or Thunderbird always livens up a social event.
