They are interested in hiring Tamika Catchings as the new women's Head Coach. She was an Olympic star and WNBA MVP.

So they'll hire the coach's but no AD.

That’s how the administration does things at CSU..01-wingedeagle

At UNM this past year, they hired a new AD after four months of not having one. Then a new prez named 11 months after the previous left (DEC 2016), didn't start until 14 months after the previous prez left.

RE: Dildy gone
Dildy going was a sad day in CSU history. This I guarantee - no one, NO ONE - loves Chicago St more than Tracy Dildy. This school isn’t doing better than a South Side legend with a true passion for the school. Dildy can coach - look at the Cougars’ first year in the WAC. Heck, Dildy almost beat Illinois one year and Northwestern last year (their best team ever). No coach can succeed at Chicago St double-dipping with AD duties and recruiting on Skype. He will be missed at the Jones Convocation Center.

Are you being sarcastic?

CST lost to Northwestern: 96-31

and to Illinois 90-43 in 2011.

I agree that when Dildy was only the coach and not the Interim AD, he did a better job coaching.

Referring to Northwestern’s NCAA year. CSU led in the 2nd half and was down 1 with 2 to go.

Illinois game was the year before in Springfield. Cougars led the Illini in the final minute.

These are the games:

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...=400915135

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...=400820708

NU’s lone NCAA appearance (and best year in school history) doesn’t happen if Cougars hold on down the stretch. Illini needed a 5 point final minute run and a buzzer beater the year before.

Tracy can coach. Just needs resources and undivided focus.

Actually, since nobody attends CSU games, he won't be missed too much. Just saying. Look at the crowd pics, nobody cares or goes to Cougar games.

I’ll miss Coach Dildy as well. He bled Cougar green, and was just put in an impossible situation. There was a lot I disagreed with re: coaching style and roster management, but as when he was given some resources he did improve the MBB team.

They need to start with an AD who wants to make a name for him or herself, and has a history in fundraising. The department needs money.. whether it be sponsors or donors.. whatever. That’s a start. Regarding a potential coach, maybe someone with success at the local HS level, D2, or a promising young assistant ready to prove him or herself.

Fred Simms Jr is leaving Chicago State and will hire an agent for the NBA. So more bad news for the Cougars.

Kezo Brown decommitted too.

Lost present cornerstone (Sims) and future cornerstone (Brown) by firing Dildy.

From what I heard, the firing was ‘corporate politics’ (i.e. a power grab by someone).

You mean, the PBA (Phillipine Basketball Association). He has as much of chance to be in the NBA as does LiAngelo Ball.

It's going to be a hard sell Josh. You have an interim prez still I believe. Its just a very fluid situation right now. The administration doesn't reek with confidence.

Very true, CP. It’s pretty rough in multiple facets at CSU.

Why are people taking shots at Chicago State and their posters? Sheesh! Have some compassion. They are in a horrible situation and on life support. There's no reason to kick someone when they are down.
