I don't see anyone defecting to the Sun Belt unless CUSA really turns into a mess for some reason. Likewise, I don't see anyone from the Sun Belt defecting to CUSA. I think I new regional conference will be born before any of that happens.

Any player from this league moving to their league would be up for POY. That's the main reason I would not want to go there. No basketball.

I was unaware CUSA was considered as having basketball... this year your top 4 teams are anchoring the conference, but after that it's a steep drop off. Not to mention you guys were the #23 conference just last year behind the SBC... and #21 the year before that...

I'm not sure if this dude is just trolling or has his facts backwards. Benson or someone connected to him did reach out to Marshall and USM. I believe to UAB also but those overtures were obviously rebuffed.

Yeah, I'd have to think if MU and USM wanted to be in the Sun Belt then they'd be there.

Since Southern Miss and Marshall, two of the schools most associated with this topic, seem to have no interest in joining the Sun Belt, can we finally quit starting these C-USA/Sun Belt realignment threads? 07-coffee3

Sorry I missed the Sunbelt team in the top25 and winning NCAA tourney games the last two years. My bad.

IF Marshall ever leaves CUSA, it will be for the MAC, while lateral it seems to be what some want since we seem to schedule two MAC teams every year for OOC football.

Point of clarification: the Sun Belt played with two courts for the "Hot Hoops in Hot Springs" years anyhow...

What about those 2 sunbelt programs with NIT final fours?

Remember over the summer when ULL almost landed LA native Mitchell Robinson.

Things change in a season, I guess. One of those "drop-off teams" just won the CBI.
