NMSU brought the most fans easily. Disappointed in GCU. They talked about how they would have 2,000 for this tournament, what a bunch of hype.

RE: The WAC Tournament
It was a good run and closer than anyone could hope for from SU. Off to the CBI!

Next year is when the fun begins. Kavas, Means, Menzies, Nettles all come back and will be joined by 3-star transfers Myles Carter (Seton Hall), Dashawn McDowell (SMU), Delante Jones (American, Patriot League FOY), and former Boise State commit Trey Hopkins (3-star, HS in Oklahoma City). Plus Hawaii transfer Matt Owies and 2-star Rip Economou (10 other D1 offers) from California.

Scott Ulaneo is only difference maker I could see transfering but would like him back as post depth. Spurgeon and Da Campo likely will leave as they don't even see the court anymore and came here under Dollar.

Next year is going to be fun. Can't wait

RE: The WAC Tournament
SU put up huge fight and left it all on the court. The sad part of the season is seeing the emotions of the players that lose. #2 from Seattle put his whole heart into this game and it was shown when he fouled out. One of the best parts of the game to me is when the SU coach was hugging #2 when he fouled out. That’s what this is all about. I’m glad the Aggies were able to hold on. I never thought this current WAC would ever get so competitive but it is. Wish nothing but luck for SU in their post season play. Go kick some ass and represent the WAC.

Agreed, Trod. I couldn’t stay awake for the second half since I was up at 445 yesterday and I’m two hours ahead of Vegas time. But I read this morning about how close it got. Seattle did an amazing job and the Hawks can be proud of their effort. They were a tougher out than the Aggies may expected, especially with the slow start Seattle had combined with Loftons explosive start.

I think they are going to make some noise in the CIT or CBI.

Congrats on a great season SU! Definitely a promising future ahead with a great coach and the incoming talent you will have.

Man... you let up for a minute and the Aggies make you pay. Lopes aren’t used to this sustained level of intensity and speed. They held up well for 16 minutes and faltered at the end. They’ll bounce back in the next half. Emotions will run high. Twenty minutes from a golden ticket.

Jemmerio with a double double in the first (10-14). He set the WAC tourney record for rebounds last night (22).

They’re gonna happen. Hate it though. He’s the spark tonight and if he sits, I’m not sure lever is going to maintain the inside presence established by Vernon tonight.

This one is over... disappointing end of the late season run. Canyon played some hard ball tonight. Not a bad showing for the first time here, but this year-long inconsistency reared it’s ugly head again tonight.

Congrats to the Aggies. They beat us three times this season and are the deserving champions. I wish them well in the Big Dance.

Nice run in the tournament Lopes, you guys fought hard in Vegas. The atmosphere in that championship game seemed electric. Your season doesn’t end here. Good luck in the post season.

Actually watched the one remaining tape on my dvr today — the Arizona Bowl. Chilling. What a magical year for Pistol Pete, and I suspect it’s not over!

Great game Aggies! Wish we would have won, but you outplayed us and Jones and Lofton did what they have been doing all year long. Plus Harris played very well. Will be cheering for the Aggies to win a game or two in the NCAA tournament.
Go WAC!

I hope the WAC keeps the tournament in Vegas for as long as possible.
