Several Seniors, so i'd have to assume they will be graduates with 1 year remaining and immediate eligibility

RE: 2018 Transfer List
How crazy is it to think we might have a chance at landing Jalek Felton?... Don't know what happened at UNC, but it was a problem with the school. Roy seemed pretty upset that they weren't able to keep him in the program, and C.B. played a huge role in his recruitment. Being a former 5 star recruit, he will have plenty of major programs after him (USC is reported to be one) but he would be comfortable with our staff and system.

Felton and Elmore played travel ball together on Team Felton.

Read somewhere online that he was being investigated for sexual assault and that he spread herpes.

If that's more than hearsay, we don't need that in our program.

His lawyer works for a firm that specializes in Title IX and sexual assault cases. That portion seems all but confirmed. Now the herpes thing is just hearsay.

I know a lot of this happens with athletes, but I also know they are often targets and get their names smeared without cause.

As of yet, he hasn't been charged with anything... I would be interested to know whether or not anybody outside on UNC is doing or has done an investigation into this matter. He'll have a problem landing anywhere while this is pending.

Unless you actually know this to be the case you should not put this out there. If it is true it will come in an official release from someone at some point .

Absolutely agree. Let's shelf that one for a bit and just discuss other potential transfers until there's more definitive facts on the topic. Thanks for understanding y'all.

There are several junior forwards who can play right away.

That is crazy to think. What have you heard to suggest it's possible? He's extremely talented and has interest from several P5 shcools. Seems unlikely, so we shouldn't get our hopes up, but it's too late for that.

Agree with the rumor thing.
Bricks- Aside of the speculation, why did he fail at UNC? Just not enough playing time with Barry a Sr?

Roy was hard on him. I wouldn't say he failed (on the court). They had Berry and PG is the toughest, most important, position in Carolina's offense. Roy said several times that Jalek was more talented than his uncle. His defense lapsed at times, but he's a great athlete, with handles to match, and great vision. He had a short leash, so you could only see his potential in flashes, but I think he's going to be great wherever he goes.

Haven't heard anything... and I did see the article you posted above. I was just simply connecting the dots between him and McGrath. I wasn't trying to get anyone's hopes up, just thought it held some significance in this thread. It will be interesting to see where he goes.

RE: 2018 Transfer List
Going through the list another name that stands out to me is Kory Holden....
Former Delaware PG that transferred to South Carolina after Monte Ross was fired. He's a grad transfer with one year of eligibility. He's dealt with injuries since arriving to USC, but was impressive in his 2 years with the Blue Hens.
2015-2016 2nd Team All-CAA (averaged 17.7 and 4.2 assists)
2014-2015 All-CAA Freshman team (averaged 12.4 and 5 assists)

Definitely would be a great addition, and a realistic one at that. Him and Toews could be a great tandem, but one would think Toews would get the majority of playing time since he is the future of McGrath's program.

Toews is the future for sure, but we need depth there. Gary gave me 0 indications he'll be able to run PG this year, even in a backup capacity. I won't give up on him just yet, but he has plenty of things to work on.
