Nick Harris, their 6'10" center played 22 minutes. Got 2 points, 4 boards. Don't know if he is completely healthy yet.

Harris is definitely healthy enough to play. But Starr seemed out of sorts yesterday. Hopefully Harris is similar

That’s something I took issue with about CoC the last couple years. They taunt like they think they’re Charleston’s version of the Fab Five.

Me too. Riller can get especially chippy. Which sucks because he's very good. I hope Connor is feeling himself again today. Connor Burchfield **** talking is the greatest **** talking.

Burchfield is funny. If I was a player hearing him talk trash would probably make me laugh.

I was dying in the stands. He was not the player I expected to start yapping. But it was glorious.

As much as we dreaded the tournament draw, this is lining up well for us. I wouldn't want to face CofC on their de facto homecourt in the Championship.

I have a feeling tonight's game will feel a lot like a boxing match. As always, it is a game of runs. We have to be able to control those runs. Drexel was in control yesterday until Chealey reeled off 2 or 3 straight 3's. They weren't ever able to regain momentum.

David noted yesterday in his post-game interview that the coaching staff had a great game plan for Towson. We gave up 66 to them yesterday...In the first two games they averaged 97.5 against us. Here's hoping we can come in with a solid plan and execute it tonight.

I get the feeling that both games today are going to be slugfests. CoC vs. W&M is going to be a fast paced game and W vs. NE have been to OT twice this year.

I'm guessing that the final will look like two punch drunk heavy-weight fighters in the 8th round. Here's hoping that we are one of them.

GO Tribe!

Analytics say we have around a 40% chance to win tonight, and around a 20% chance to go dancing. Charleston favored by 3.5. In the immortal words of Lloyd Christmas, “So you’re saying there’s a chance”

Good, I hope they talk trash the entire game and get like 5 Ts and give W&M extra motivation to beat them.

Pregame party at Charleston Marriott at 3:00. Good food and drink, pep band, cheerleaders, and player send off around 4:00.

Under Shaver W&M's best shooting performances have been in the second round, on average.

First round: 42.95% FG, 30.96% 3 PT
2nd round: 46.49% FG, 38.49% 3 PT
3rd round: 43.38% FG, 35.38% 3 PT
4th round: 38.00% FG, 35.70% 3 PT

There were some really bad teams in there that crashed out and bring the numbers down but even if you eliminate every team that lost in the first round they'd still have a better 2nd round shooting percentage than 1st round. Normally you face better defenses as you go along so that seems to suggest fatigue doesn't impact shooting too much, at least in the 2nd round.

Is the round defined by the conference round? Or the number of games we’ve played? (Ex. Is tonight a 3rd round game by definition?)

Friendly piece of advise, leave Downtown area early and give yourself plenty of time to get up to the NCC....traffic will be nothing like what you saw yesterday. Outbound traffic starts around 430-500 and can get pretty crazy, especially if there’s any type of accidents. I usually get off at the W Montague exit and enter the Coliseum from that side rather than going up to 526 to International drive side. I’m assuming by Charleston Marriott y’all mean the one on Lockwood, downtown, and not the one out in North Chuck.

Agreed. Get there early. In fact, I think it might be a late arriving crowd. You can’t work 9 to 5 and get there at 6 if you have to get on 526.

Correct. Thanks for the heads up. That’s good info.

Games W&M has played. I worded it badly. Should be 1st game played, etc.

Can’t quite figure out why the 1800 tip instead of a 1900. That extra hour means a lot more butts in seats at the beginning instead of sitting in traffic somewhere.

If they started at 1900 then the second game wouldn't start until 2130 at the earliest. That is keeping folks up too late and would decrease attendance for the second game.

It’ll be interesting to see how the different timing in the semi’s impacts the finals as the winner of the 2nd semi will end around 10:30pm tonight and have a 7pm tip tomorrow and both teams will have less than 24 hours to recover and play the championship game.
