I just put my face really close to my laptop screen and pretend it's a TV.

ESPN tends to buffer a lot of the times. I know it probably isn't their fault.

Stadium doesn't buffer as much.

I can access stadium via pluto on my phone or laptop, same as ESPN.

Stadium is free, ESPN sometimes isn't.

With that said, yes it is a good deal for the Sun Belt. Wish we had some commissioners who did something.

I guess this is less of a problem for folks who like basketball, but only one football game was on Stadium last season. 4 games on CUSA.TV and 3 games on beIN Sports tells me C-USA's TV deal is hot garbage. Folks pretending that TV deals are only for the current fans are fooling themselves. A good TV plan is needed to gain interest from potential new fans, and, more importantly, so recruits we may be targeting are able to watch our games.

Nah, being on an ESPN app is far better. I can pull that onto my TV with no effort. Using Facebook/Twitter/etc on the TV is painful.

Takes me ten seconds if I waste time.

Congrats on having an old computer?

Yes, the number of games on Stadium, etc. in football was quite low.

CUSA's tv deal is hot garbage but hey at least our former AD gets paid.

I know, that was my point. Guess I should have used the blue font.

I get that there is a certain contingent here that wants to not be negative, but to say the Stadium crap on Facebook is just as good as ESPN3 is laughable. I've got 3 different things connected to my TV that will do WatchESPN and zero that will do Facebook. To expect casual people to dig up an HDMI cable and connect their laptop to their TV is crazy.

03-idea I leave the HDMI cable plugged up to the TV and hanging on a hook behind the TV or share the TV stand, or I use Miracast from my phone. 03-shhhh

More games on ESPN/2/U, all games, in most sports will be available. Yes, a lot will be behind the ESPN+ paywall, but it is only 4.99 a month for all ESPN+ content, that will include MLS, MLB and NHL, and who knows what else.

I think this is good for the SBC, I'm still looking for most CUSA football games each week. 03-hissyfit

I think the SBC has one up'd CUSA in the TV deal wars.

Ok, tell 90% of the casual viewing public flipping around for a game to watch to use Miracast and they'll look at you like you're from the Moon. In 10 years maybe we'll be watching all our entertainment on Facebook (Jesus Christ I hope not) but we're not there yet. TV deals should still include, you know, TV.

One thing to consider is that ESPN is reserving the right to charge whatever they want for content in their new app. It's $5 a month to subscribe to it, but they are leaving themselves the ability to charge micro-transactions for individual games on top of that.

Find out how many Saturday games are going to be on ESPN or ESPN2 and how much the sunbelt is getting paid for those games before lighting your torches and grabbing your pitchforks.

I still think that is better than watching on f'n Twitter or Facebook. ESPN's apps are on every device and are pretty good

I've had more problems with streaming on that ESPN crAPP than I've ever had with either Facebook or Twitter streaming.

I watched more games on my laptop & phone over the last year than I have on tv.
I don't have ESPN in my sling package.

No reason to include ESPN when the team you follow isn't on there.

Me too, but not by choice. If the games were available on TV, I'd watch them there instead of sitting in front of my computer

I watched the troy south Alabama game last season. steamed on espn on a Tuesday night. lots of empty seats for a game that would have sold out on Saturday. that is why we don't want espn . I cant bring my kid to a Tuesday night game. not much tailgating on Tuesday nights
