Historically going into the game, we were 10-10 in Reed Green Coliseum. A win there has never been guaranteed.

I am not going to say you are bad fans because even bad fans are happy when their team wins after struggling for awhile.

I'm always happy when we win, but to be overjoyed or ecstatic that we beat a bad southern miss team is a bit overboard. It should be an expectation of UAB to be better than southern Miss.

You try to have it both ways. Had UAB lost, you would have been complaining that UAB is supposed to beat teams like Southern Miss. Now that they won, you are saying you shouldnt' get excited about beating teams like Southern Miss.

So please inform the gathered Blazertalk fandom.

What is the proper reaction that we should have?
What could UAB have done last night that would have made you and your ilk happy?

As I have said, I am indeed happy.

However, beating southern miss is nothing to brag about. It's expected. It should be a mundane occurrence for uab basketball. I'm not going to lower my expectations bc we have a crappy coach and have vastly underperformed the last 2 years.

But it isn't about wat UAB has done historically, you should be excited about what they did tonight. They won a road game by 18 pts without their best player. This builds confidence for the rest of the season. William Lee had one of his best games of his career. It should give the fan base some hope that this season might not be lost.

But I guess you prefer pissing and moaning about something that should be mundane and accusing fans of being ecstatic about winning. Ha. Winning should never be mundane.

I'm sorry they didn't lose or barely win, so you could be a little bit more excited about the game.

I’ll never forget that Preston Purifoy three to win. Incredible shot.

That was a fun trip. Designing a game ending play to go to a freshman who was like our 5th scoring option to shoot the 3 to decide the game is one of the most Mike Davis things ever.

UAB doesn't win that game without my daughter screaming into the dead silence to force Gary Flowers to brick a free throw.

Mike Davis was great out of a time out. Seems like we almost always scored out if one. If we had a time out for one play to win a game I want Davis drawing it up.
