RE: JMU Mumps Make-up
Despite some "egg" games on the road, I'm excited for what the guys accomplished during this season (with more work to do) and looking forward to the future.

We have shown we could win the final four games or even lose all four. Depends on which team shows up. Focus on Elon tomorrow and go from there.

Exactly. One game at a time, and don't think about the result of any of them going into the next. Just go prepare, get out there and play, have fun, and enjoy the rest of the season.
If anything, Talley deserves a "fun" end of the regular season. He's given us a greater four years than any of us could have imagined when he showed up. Happy for him and all he helped accomplish here. We often give a lot of the credit to the previous coaching staff, but Keatts wouldn't be making millions of dollars if it weren't for players like Talley that bought in regardless of who was at the helm, played every night like it was his last, and set this program back on a path to success. Enjoy the end of your senior season young man, and have fun out there!

Well said CGH06 concerning Jordon. He indeed plays every game like it was his last and that is what I love about his game. That kind of heart in a player is not often found. He will be sorely missed next year.

They've definitely given evidence there is something to be excited about going forward with McGrath. The record might not show it, but significant strides have been made this year. Cylla, Elmore, Toews, and Sims will be great additions, and I'm sure they'll bring in 1 or 2 more guys. The JMU game frustrated me more than any loss this year solely because I thought they took a significant step forward against Hofstra, just to take one right back.

Really good points. Keatts certainly had these things going for him:
1) Buzz Peterson left the program in better shape than it was before his arrival. Our APR issues were in the rear view window, and the talent he left behind was pretty good for a first-year HC.
2) Craig Ponder, a Hargrave Military kid who was familiar with Keatts, likely played a key role in keeping his teammates from transferring out.
3) Talley, as Keatts' first recruit, was the perfect new face to start his tenure with. He may not have been the best player on the floor in any of his 4 years here, but he was arguably the most IMPORTANT player from the Keatts' tenure.
Obviously, it was Keatts himself who brought in Talley, so only 2/3 of those things were ones he walked into. But getting his tenure off on the right foot helped set the table nicely for the following 2 seasons.
