Really don't want to lose sight of the fact we've blown out Hofstra and Elon down the stretch here either. Most of our wins have been really close prior. Another good sign.

Both great W's, but we also lost to JMU sandwiched in there. This team is Jeckyl and Hyde.

JMU is playing good basketball right now, even if our game was a stink fest. They won four straight and took CoC to OT last night, before losing by 3. If we miss the 6th spot, I'm going to regret playing Delaware twice early in the season more than losing at JMU.

Perhaps, but IMO that was more us completely sucking than JMU playing well. We had the ball in our court to get the 6th spot and we laid an egg. Now we need a miracle. This team has proven it can beat anyone, but could also lose to anyone

Looking at the Saturday games
Charleston is a must win IMO if we want that 6th seed. We could probably still get it with a loss but it's unlikely
Drexel @ Hofstra - Hofstra should win and that would give us breathing room with Drexel. The higher Hofstra finishes the better it is for our tiebreaker
William and Mary @ Northeastern - Should be a good game. Doesn't really impact UNCW that much but we can still get a win over the Tribe so them winning would be slightly more helpful
Elon @ Delaware - If we beat Charleston, a Delaware win would put us in that 6th slot heading to the last week. If we don't, an Elon win helps keep us from falling into a tie with Delaware
JMU @ Towson - If we beat, Charleston a JMU win put us 1 game behind Towson for the 5th slot. If we lose to Charleston, a Towson win keeps us ahead of JMU
Saturday is a big weekend. I hope we continue the momentum from tonight. We still have a good chance to avoid Saturday play in
Saturday is not a must-win, but it would be a huge win. We have to finish 2-1, and if we do that, we finish 6th. I'm not counting on Towson losing all three, and we have Drexel on our schedule, so that 's in our control. To me, the 6th spot is b/w us and Elon, and it's ours if we go 2-1.

We don't need a miracle. We need to win one game in two tries against upper echelon teams. One chance at home, and one chance on the road. I think the odds are against us, but Elon is going in the wrong direction. I can't see them going 3-1 down the stretch.

I agree we have to finish 2-1 over the next 3 games to get the 6th seed bye. However, if we cannot beat Charleston at home where we have been solid, I do not see us beating W&M on the road, where we have not.
Also, if somehow JMU or Drexel wins out and we finish 2-1 we would be tied with them. First tiebreaker is wins over #1 seed, so beating CoC would help us with that tiebreaker, particularly with Drexel who has beaten CoC.
You also have to look out at Delaware from behind for an outside chance at that 6th seed. There is a very good chance that they win out. If they do and we go 1-2 they very well may get that 6th seed bye due to the tiebreaker they have over us.
From a practical standpoint, winning against CoC and Drexel are pretty much must do's if we want the 6th seed, especially factoring in tiebreakers.

While I appreciate the detail, that's needlessly complicating the scenario. Your point is well taken regarding home vs CoC and away against W&M. Charleston is the better team though, so I'm not ruling out a win against the Tribe even with a Saturday loss. Nevertheless, I agree the best opportunity is at home on Saturday. If we lose two, we're not finishing top 6, so I'm not worried about Delaware's schedule. JMU is playing better, but they have four conference wins on the season. Can they finish the year winning 8 of their last 9? That seems far less likely than us winning at W&M.
I still think it's us or Elon in 6th, and if we drop 2 of last 3, it doesn't matter all that much if one of the other scenarios plays out.

If JMU or Drexel get a road win at Towson or Hofstra respectively on Saturday they have a shot at the 6th seed.
Saturday should clear a lot up, but ruling out JMU or Drexel now is a bit premature.

With Elon losing today, I see 1 win getting you 6th. I think Elon drops to us and NU.

RE: The final stretch, 2018To
We are currently in 7th place, .5 out of 6th place behind Elon and .5 ahead of JMU.
Heading into Thursday
We have a chance at this 6th seed with only 1 win this week.
Elon at Charleston - Charleston can clinch the 1 seed with a win at home on Senior Night. I think they do that. An Elon loss would also be great for us if we can't steal one at William and Mary
Delaware at Drexel - A UNCW loss against the Tribe and a Delware win puts the Blue Hens back into the running for that 6th seed. We really would benefit from a Drexel win to keep that cushion over the Blue Hens
Hofstra at JMU - Currently tied with JMU in the loss column. A Hofstra win would allow us to regain that cushion over JMU. Hofstra finishing 3rd would help us in any potential tiebreakers so a win at JMU would really help them solidify 3rd place.
Towson at Northeastern - We have the potential to finish ties with Towson if they lose out and we win out. Thats really the only benefit we have with this game so hopefully NE can win
Best Case Scenario
Charleston, Drexel, Hofstra, NE

Elon now a dumpster fire. They could turn it around last 3 games but I think they lose all 3. 6th could be between you and JMU at this point

Delaware wins their last 2 and we go 1-1 They get 6th seed
Assuming Elon continues their dumpster fire ways
