Lake Michigan Football Report lists top 50 2019 kids
At number 13 we have Jack Haverdink, Portage Northern....Does that name sound familiar ??? Could he be a legacy recruit...

BW with another classic slappy post.

Let me get this straight. Two Ferris commits and a Davenport commit are ranked higher than a 4 Star Olinemen with multiple P5 offers??? 03-lmfao03-lmfao

Considering the status of the program last few years
Kent did some impressive recruiting managed to get two out of the top 60.Looks like Everyone in the MAC has gotten a piece of Bono’s lunch forcing him to compete with the Davenport and Ferris States of the world. Even Lawrence Tech signed three kids out of East English in Detroit. I believe Lawrence Tech is a fledgling football program.
The kids are not top 60 but it’s one more football program competeting for Michigan kids.

New spin.......it was a trap!!!04-bow

Yeah, I’d claim that too. But even your fellow slappies knew you believed those rankings. 9th ranked class, finished with a whimper. The future of Chimp football trending down, down, down.

Gotta be careful with that site. It’s generally limited to kids that attend their combine.

Poor Bono. It's tough work recruiting against SVSU, Ferris, and Lamar.

Wade is a steal for Ferris. I have watched him play 3 years of varsity basketball and football at West Ottawa. He is a heck of an athlete. Two time D-1 all state receiver with a high ceiling.

That’s weird. Watched his highlight video. Only had D1 interest from Eastern. Good measurables, seems to have speed, good athlete. Maybe he’ll transfer if he has a bust out freshmen year.

Ferris sweetened the offer for him with a basketball and football offer. I suspect it ended up being close to a full ride. Still a head scratcher as to why he only received one D1 offer.

He loves both sports but it will be interesting to see how long he will be able to do both at the D2 level and keep up in school. I suspect maybe a year. He will be tugged in both direction as both basketball and football have strong coaches and are decent D2 programs.
