Hall vs Nova tonight will be a good one. Good crowd in Newark, should be electric.

what would be a really ugly setup for the Big East:
Butler 9 S Charlotte vs Missouri, Virginia
Seton Hall 7 S Pittsburgh vs Kansas St, Cincy
Creighton 8 W Wichita vs Florida St, Kansas
Nova 1 E Pittsburgh vs Rhode Island/NC State rd 2
Providence 10 E Charlotte vs Arkansas, Duke
Xavier 1 MW Detroit vs Va Tech/Oklahoma rd 2
Marquette 2nd team out

Butler, Creighton, and Providence with basic road game situations in rd 2. Seton Hall with a pretty bad matchup in rd 2. And Xavier with the absolute worst case scenario for them in rd 2.

Even in a worst case scenario, the Big East would still have two one seeds. While by no means a guarantee to go far, it would set the league up very strongly to have two programs have deep runs in the tournament.

I disagree. I think Xavier is real precarious on the 1 line. a QF exit and I really think they're off the 1 line.

And even if X was a 1 seed, drawing Oklahoma in rd 2? Some favor there.

late night update from Lunardi-
Lunardi's update for tonight shows something very interesting for Providence....

Creighton 8 S Charlotte vs Alabama, Virginia
Xavier 1 W Detroit vs RI/Kansas St rd 2
Villanova 1 E Pittsburgh vs Missouri/Va Tech rd 2
Providence 10 E Charlotte vs Texas A&M, Duke
Butler 8 MW Wichita vs St Bonaventure, Kansas
Seton Hall 7 MW Nashville vs USC, Duke
Marquette 7th team out

now for Providence- I think they could easily be ahead of Alabama, Va Tech, Kansas St, or St Bonaventure. But given the Big East has 2 1's, and already 2 8's, by rule, Providence can't be on the 8/9 line at that point. Now for Providence, it's on the look of it a good thing(although their pod with Duke rd 2 is hardly easy).

I could see them with a win over Nova jumping up to the 7 line if my theory here is correct.
