Worthless predictions. Way too many unknowns to pick this early.

UAB losing AT UTEP, MTSU, AND LA TECH? Not a chance. We'll be 1-2 or 2-1 in those road games.

UTEP is a few years away from beating UAB.

Nope. Don't like it.

I'm going 9-3 (6-2). I'll go with losses to La Tech and MTSU on the road...especially with us barely scraping by them both this last season, but I think we make a push for 2 consecutive home undefeated seasons and we beat UTEP regardless of where we play them.

North Texas loses to us and FAU...we get the tie-breaker by beating them at home and play FAU in the Conference championship game.

Staying with same record as last year 8-4. I think we will be better but IMHO the schedule is tougher with who is improving and some tough road games.

Last year I said we would have between 5-7 wins depending on how healthy we were and went with 6-6. Hope I am low again.

I think Charlotte was better than UTEP.

Considering the losses of some very important seniors from this years team, particularly on D, I would be ok with 7-5 and would be thrilled for another 8-4 season.

I’m guessing we will be in the 6-6/7-5 range with this schedule.

Based on how heavily FAU is recruiting Alabama, particularly the Bham area, if that happens that game could have big recruiting ramifications...

I will be shocked if we win less than 8 games. We will be a much better team than we were in 2017.

I'm just curious why you are so optimistic? I'm definitely not saying you are wrong, but what impact additions/returnees to we have that make you believe so?

I can't speak for anyone else, but my optimism comes from what we've seen Clark do twice now. Two times he's taken what was perceived to be crap and gotten them bowl eligible. This last season he had us one game from playing in the conference championship.

He accomplished what he did this last season without many of our guys having seen game action in 2 years. For the first time in a very long time (maybe ever) I'm confident that we aren't lacking in the coaching department...we may get outcoached from time to time, but it's not because we've got a bad head coach. He knows how to get the very best out of his players, and he knows how to develop them.

That fact that he has a team he put together coming back at all is reason for optimism in my book. Clark has had two year ones at UAB...so far we've only seen him build a couple of teams, not a program. Fielding two consecutive teams is a step towards him building our program. I don't think he'll disappoint!

I too have all the confidence in the world in Clark, but I’m not sure about our depth next year yet.
