One of the best grunge bands from Seattle was called Screaming Trees.

Seattle Screaming Trees would be a great team name.

The Coyotes' owners are the biggest winners in this.

Not only do they get 1/31st of the expansion fee, which puts over $20 million into their account, but $650 million is now the floor for the price when they sell the team to some guy with way too much money in Houston or wherever. Even after paying off the massive amount of debt the Coyotes are carrying, the profit from that sale will be more than $100 million. Cha-ching.

Missed the story when it came out and was wondering about it today as I pondered the Blues/Bruins final series tied at 1 apiece:

Coyotes will switch divisions when new Seattle NHL team joins league

On a side note, Seattle is looking at Boise or Palm Springs for their AHL affiliate. I wonder which one will be selected? Boise has an ECHL team that could be moved up (see Colorado Eagles recent move) or Palm Springs starts everything from scratch (including building an arena).
