Upcoming schedules
And down the stretch we go! Who has the easiest road among the three current leaders?

Charleston: For a team who's fans would agree is not a good road team they have three away games against top four teams.....NU, Hofstra and W & M.

William and Mary: Difficult to beat at home. Not so much on the road. They travel to NU, Hofstra and Charlston.

NU: Already played away games against the top four current leaders.

Doesn't guarantee anything but I would rather be in our position.

Most years you are right about us on the road but we are actually 5-1 on the road in the conference this year beating the bottom 4 and Elon and losing to Towson in OT on the road. So we have the 3 higher teams to play but in the past, we have lost to some of those should win games on the road.

So.....what is your best road win? Five and five Elon? Do you agree that you have a few tough ones ahead?

RE: Upcoming schedules
There are no easy road games in general in this league. Your win and Towson's in Williamsburg represent the biggest in the league. So, actually we have been better on the road than at home. The winner of your game with Charleston is the favorite to finish #1. But there are no automatics left. Charleston probably has the toughest schedule left since they have 5 road games. But, it will likely take 13-14 wins to be #1. So that means it will be the three you mentioned or Hofstra at 1. Since the game is at home, Northeastern, Charleston and then the Tribe right now.
Btw, Elon is good. They just beat Towson again. Maybe you guys will have an easier time with Towson than we did.

I said we have the 3 toughest ones ahead. I was just responding to the statement that we are not so good on the road. In the past, we likely could have easily have been 2-4 on the road as opposed to 5-1 because we would lose the road games that we should have been winning. This year, we have been competitive on the road and only lost one game in OT so far to Towson (a team that seems to always have our number). Not betting that we will go 3-0 against this level of competition left but just that we could have some opportunities that we would not have in previous years on the road.

RE: Upcoming schedules
I think our game at Matthews will be a tough one and you’ll certainly play much better this time around.

You have played well on the road and as mentioned it’s not easy to win on the road. We just lost to Drexel. Certain teams don’t matchup well and some do.

We don’t matchup too well with CofC, Drexel and lately Towson.

If I were a W&M fan, I wouldn’t worry so much on finishing in the top 3, because at the end of the day, I don’t see them winning 3 games in 3 days with no bench points. One reason we blew you out was the difference in bench points.

If Knight gets into foul trouble I don’t see Cole Harrison coming up big. If Green for us does, we have Miller and Murphy.

Our last 3 roadies aren’t chippies in Delaware, Towson and Elon, but all winnable games.

The Tribe always gets drilled at Matthews. But, you guys had one only one at Kaplan and crushed us this year. As for the tourney, Hofstra lost in OT of the championship 2 years ago with no bench. I agree it is not optimal, but it is possible. Plus, it might only take one bad half for any of the contenders to be out in Charleston. It is wide open. You guys and Charleston have been the most consistent and Coen is a great coach. You certainly have all the elements for a run like you had in 2015. Pusica is a great player.

I couldn't agree more about the tournament. An off game or even a bad half and your team is probably toast. Getting the top seed will be important and I guess that at this point I would rather have the away games against the top teams behind me rather than ahead of me.

RE: Upcoming schedules
It’s wide open in Charleston for sure.

And yes it’s possible to win it without a bench, but only if you have players who could get buckets in the paint and guards who can take it to the basket when the 3’s aren’t falling.

RE: Upcoming schedules
Will be happy if the Cougars win 4 of the last 8. As for NC being a home court advantage a lot of Cougar fans think playing there is a curse. 6 SoCon tourneys ( a couple we were the favorites) and 1 CAA tourney there we have never won a championship in that place. I agree this tourney is wide open this year as no one is playing like a clear favorite at this point. Would not surprise me to see a first day team win the second day this year.
