Perfect storm of ineptitude at the end. Obviously that last foul was a garbage call but the whole game had garbage calls for both teams. Missed the front end of three 1 and 1s by our best 3 free throw shooters. It's ridiculous.

Well have these games every now and then. Ugh....

And how many layups did Puscia miss in the last 5 minutes? Just really a brutal end to that one

This one put me in a bad mood.

Hats off to Drexel for finding a way. I'm sure their fans were annoyed at their foul shooting too

The CAA is the first conference to have every team with at least 3 conference losses.

The stats page has a lot of interesting info like "points in the paint", "fast break points", etc. For "layups" (I wish I wrote it down) we were something like ten of twenty-two. Not going to win many shooting layups like that. Anyway, this should get us in the right frame of mind for Thursday's game against Charleston.

I thought that was a horrendous call on Brace. And I don’t b**ch and whine about foul calls like so many of our CAA brethren like to do.

He had just as much right to get that ball as Isabell, who got a call by just grabbing the ball and shooting in all one motion. Great move on his part.

If I was Coen I would have went ballistic on the refs after the game for that call.

So many little things like Murphy holding on to the ball on a rebound instead of trying to quickly pass it out to Vasa, to the missed FT's.

RE: Drexel
Missing the front end of a 1-1 three times at the end of the game always kills. Drexel has been on the other end of those games so many times, including a game at Northeastern back in 2014 when Drexel led by 5 with 46 seconds left and blew the game. They happen and they hurt and they are the games that are tough to forget.

I really think that the foul at the end of the game was the right call, even though people I was sitting with in the stands thought that most refs wouldn't make a call like that at that point of the game. But Isabell did get to the ball first. He had possession of the ball. He tried to put it up while being bumped. So it was the right call.

Sorry I disagree. He never had full possession of it. He got there quick and hoisted. He never set his feet to shoot.

Whatever, should have never come to that anyway.

Highlights... Of course they don’t show the controversial foul call.

For you J.B. Like I said he sold the call to the refs.

I watched it again. It's at the 2:02 spot on the video. I still think that it technically was the right call. But even if the ref shouldn't have called it, you really have to give Isabell props on this one. I've never seen a play like this before, where the free throw shooter got his own rebound and was able to put himself in position to even try to make the shot and get fouled.
And of course, Northeastern missed the front end of the 1 and 1 foul shots three times in the final 2 minutes. Obviously the game should never have even been in that position in the first place so you really can't place blame on the refs for this one. Northeastern should have won the game easily.

Need to win this one and I think we will.

Drexel’s coach said in the teleconference call that Austin Williams wouldn’t play today.

Hold home serve.

Good win, we had a nice inside presence when our outside shots weren't falling.

Too bad JMU choked away their lead tonight

Yep. 46 points in the paint. 24 points and nine rebounds out of our center position tonight. Nice to see a win when we shoot 25% from three.

JMU may have choked but Hofstra didn't....creating some space between us, Hofstra and W&M. Finishing second or third is important. If anyone is going to beat Charlston I think it will be on night four by a team that is deeper than them. Not saying that will be us because the tourney is wide open but not playing C of C for as long as possible is an advantage.

Yeah, top 3 will be really important. Win on Saturday and that is clinched. NIT auto bid is obviously nice, but Charleston have simply been more consistent than us, and of course beat us twice. Can't really complain there.
