RE: 2018 Roster
Hey a Pointer is now a Bronco!

Spent several 2 week stints up on campus hauling harp for our youngest. The Suzuki Method has its HQ there and draws from around the world.

One summer it aligned with our time in Pentwater so we drove up, got everyone settled and I took the harp and Harpist over on the USS Badger out of Ludington, Michigan. Operates as a car ferry shuttling back n forth between Manitowoc. Drove the 2 hours to SP got her set up, connected with HS friend of No’s and mine and got 9 holes in before a fish fry on the Chain O Lakes. Her brother joined us and I found out he knew Tom “Grizz” Szymanski who Dick Shilts recruited.

Small world!

RE: 2018 Roster
Throughout the season, we've seen some attrition from guys buried on the depth chart:

WR Hunter Broersma - gone
DB Sean Akins - gone
LB Craig King - gone

One recent addition:

RB Trae Allen - freshman - 5'9" 185 - Birmingham Groves

No wonder Lester is recruiting WRs so hard. There are currently 12 on the roster, and that includes 2 or 3 walk-ons. And Harris is a senior.

I wonder if his younger brother is on our radar? He’s leading Mona Shores toward a run to Ford Field. Nice bit about Wahlberg’s leadership and 10 tackle performance against Portage Northern. He’ll be a big piece of the LB corps in years to come.

Sad to see them leave mid-season. Broersma already had Reed, Hall, Arnett and Sanders ahead of him, plus perhaps Bussell.

Contended that Broersma should have been moved to the defensive side of the ball if he was going to be buried on offense. Played safety in high school I believe, and by what we are watching on the field, safety seems like something we can use.

I agree. He was listed by recruiting services as a defensive back, and he played DB/WR at Mona Shores HS. It soon became clear that he wasn't going to crack the 2-deep as a receiver, and we need bodies at DB.

Unfortunate. I wish him the best in whatever he does now.
