I don't understand why they didn't run the courts the other direction, push them over to one side with temps on the other side? There might not be any room in the end zones, but at least it would give the fans a decent view of the game and look halfway respectable. I can't believe anyone running a D1-FBS league would agree to this.

Is there really a necessity to run 2 games at the same time?

They had to run both a 12 team women's tournament and a 12 team men's tournament, and they were able to rent the facility for 4 days because anything longer would be quite expensive...

It compresses the time needed for the tournament, you can have men and women at the same time and avoid the off days the Sun Belt has.

When we were in Hot Springs we ran two courts but the arena was attached to a convention center where there was a second court. If you were just hanging out watching games waiting for your team to play you could walk over to the other court to watch if the game you were watching wasn't entertaining.

It's great way to do it as long as you don't have the horn/whistle issue.

Greensboro Colisuem had the main arena with a court and 20,000 seats. Then there is an attached convention center that holds a few thousand seats and has clocks in place and can be and is used for basketball. Just outside the main coliseum the Fieldhouse holds a few thousand and is home to the Greensboro Swarm NBA G League team. We could run 3 games at a time. We could wrap up a tournament in a day and a half and only need hotels for one night. Sure that might require multiple games a day for a school but we need to set our priorities.

There is actually another convention area that I don't remember having clocks or seating but there is room for a few thousand seats to be broght in. Greensboro could run 4 games at one time and we could wrap up a 12 team tournament for both men and women and have the schools fly in to PTI early in the morning and be done in one day and not even need a hotel.

With the ACC leaving Greensboro for parts unknown I am sure my home city could make this work.

There is going to be a 20+ yard gap between the first row of regular GA seating and the basketball court...

And all the seats are behind the baskets? Yuck.

Went to the CUSA board to see some of the reviews. My favorite was the poster that called it the YMCUSA Tournament.
