Yep! Gueye played one minute. Sandwiched in between those two fouls by Gueye was a three pointer by Perry on a Lavender assist.
The guys are beat up and tired and it's only mid season and here they go to Marshall for another grueling road game. It's not a must win, and neither was WKU. In the post game Coach Ehsan indicated that he was going to have to go deeper in to the bench. If you ask me, they are a better team when he does.

I just don't see why he would play Gueye unless Coke, Lee and Sully are in foul trouble, He just is not as good as they are. Even if they are a little winded.
Lee playing well for 30+ minutes really helps.

The WKU coach is all that is wrong with college basketball.
Not talking about this game in particular.

Wow. Like a typo somehow?
According to the play by play, darling went in at the 18:26 which I think was the firs deadball
There was a mistake with the jersey numbers or something that caused Perry to start. They discussed it very briefly as the game was starting.

Because most teams play four bigs....... So it either Mak or Thomas or have three winded undersized bigs.

Gueye is effective under the correct circumstances. He is simply too thin to be effective down low, hence the fouls as he attempts, unsuccessfuly, to not be bullied in the post.

Perry, Sullivan, Gueye, and Lavender need more minutes.

Perry looked pissed at the end of the game. If he started should play starter minutes.

Don't know how some doesn't have a understanding of this . He's very very undersized par the norm here lately.

Everybody in Green was pissed at the end of the game.
Lol
The guy in gray I'm referring my have a different reason why he was upset. The bench showed a weird sign yesterday.

I'm a little worried about sullivan. I thought he would've take more of a step forward by now. He's still getting minor minutes as a redshirt junior, and looks really similar to the player he was as a freshman

RE: WKU game thread
I know this has been beaten to death butttttt I have to say it. We have a quality team this year. Could've/should've been really good, even though that will truly be judged after the season plays out. This OOC schedule did zero to prepare us for conference and the CUSA tourney. This is the type of veteran team that should've taken its lumps in the OOC, been molded into a battle hardened unit, and been ready to handle any environment.
We still have a quality team, but I still feel like this core group of players has really underachieved. I was expecting MTSU like run of post season success with this group. I really don't think those are outlandish expectations with this group.

This years team is better than the team that got to the NCAA tournament. But that team was not as good as most of us thought.
Anything can happen in the conference tournament. But WKU & MTSU scheduled like they want to be in the conversation for an at large bid and to prepare for conference play.
There is no excuse for our schedule. Other than to pad Robs record.
And its unlikely to improve significantly next year because we lose 2 very important bigs. And their replacements are unlikely to be up for it.

I think he will be much improved next year. He has put on a lot of muscle from when he was a freshman.
