Exclamation Troy promotes Matt Moore to OC
http://www.troytrojans.com/news/2018/1/1...roles.aspx

Troy promotes Matt Moore, who was the O-Line Coach, to OC. He will still retain his O-Line Coach duties.

Sean Reagan, who was the QB coach, has also been elevated to co-OC as well as still being QB Coach.

When Neal Brown gets hired away from Troy, I can just about guarantee you Matt Moore will be Troy's next head coach. He has been with Neal Brown at Troy and Texas Tech, and was with Tony Franklin at a lot of his stops too. Moore is another product of the "Hal Mumme offense".

Why be a P5 offensive coordinator when you can be an FBS head coach?

Matt Moore becoming eventual head coach has been I feel has been in the works ever since speculation began of Neal Brown leaving. Him being promoted to OC just furthers that notion.

I doubt the Troy admin want to bring in a new guy with a different style of offense. Probably a better idea to keep everything flowing and keep Brown's assistants.

I bet he is. Just like Kiffin naming Weis Jr OC today, I guarantee Lane is still calling the plays.

That's a much different scenario than Neal Brown/Matt Moore.

03-lmfao Yes, sorry, that's more than fair. I might be completely off base about Moore but was trying to refer to the symbolic or figurehead nature of the position.
