• Louisiana vs Grambling
• Georgia State vs Kennesaw

We open with Presbyterian. Let's hope there's not another Hurricane threat.

Grambling is a good competitive FCS Program. Coach Fobbs has them playing at a high level. They also bring a boat load of fans. Get ready for the house to rock. We love playing them and hope to continue doing so at least every 2-3 years.

I think the combination of Grambling traveling well and the excitement the new staff is bringing provides the opportunity for a REALLY good crowd at Cajun Field! And we are well aware of Coach Fobbs performance. Should be fun!

Grambling was borderline Top 25 FCS and went 11-2. They don't play in a strong conference so there's that. With a new coach at Louisiana, this may not be an easy win.

We play Texas Southern. Should be an easy W, but we'll see.

So far all FCS games listed are really, really, bad FCS teams, except for they Cajuns opponent, where they could easily lose that game.

If they lose to Grambling they need to close up shop.

Blah blah blah 11-2......but how many of those were even good teams? Their conference is trash, and they often play several D2 teams in "classics." They also don't compete in the playoffs so they have very few competitive matchups. In FBS games they severely lack the depth to keep up, even if they do manage to be productive.

The Cajuns should walk away with it. It would be the same as us losing to SSU, which Tyson ******* Summers managed to drop 54 on.

Wow that’s going to be a well-attended game and a hard one to win for sure.

Yeah, I'm glad we don't play Kennesaw this year.

Coach Elliot knows all about triple option teams. He won't be snoozing on KSU.

For Coastal, Campbell is the only FCS I know of. Our other three non-conf are South Carolina, UMass, and UAB.

I mean, I agree, but we've had discussions like this before and one of us loses the game. New coach at Louisiana adds a wrinkle to this since it's the first game of the season. You never know.

RE: FCS Matchups in 2018
Kennesaw is #9 in FCS and ranked 110 by the computer which is middle of the pack Sun Belt. Georgia State is ranked 125. I'm well aware that these rankings don't mean much for game one of next season, but it does show that they are capable of beating the panthers. Should be a good game.
