NAS Bus Trip UAB MBB vs. Southern Miss (2/17/18)
http://www.uab.edu/alumni/uab-bus-trip
Quote:Tickets for the game and round-trip bus ride are only $50 and will be available through Friday, February 9, 2018. New for this trip, the package also includes a snack pack that will be distributed when you arrive.
Tip-off against the Golden Eagles is at 4:00 p.m.
Alumni and fans will meet at the UAB National Alumni Society House (1301 10th Avenue South) at 10:30 a.m. The bus will leave for Hattiesburg at 11:00 a.m.
Personally, I was hoping for a bus trip the next Saturday to MTSU (& Slick Pig) instead of this.

I may want to go as well if I'm not on call. I'll have to check when I get back in

The 2 hour later start would probably make filling the bus less likely.
But, if we win both this weekend, more people might be interested in the MTSU trip.
I know I would be.

RE: NAS Bus Trip UAB MBB vs. Southern Miss (2/17/18)
The 2014 game at MTSU started at 5pm and we didn't have any problem filling two buses. I don't think one hour would make much difference.

There's a fee, you know.
I know. But if we win the 2 this weekend, it would be 2 very competitive teams.
The USM game, yawn.
And I would be supporting the team, not an incompetent athletic department with bogus order fees.

If they filled 2 buses in 2014, I would think they would have a trip already scheduled.
They don't? Or it just hasn't been publicly announced yet?

You do realize that UAB doesn't do anything different than any other school in America.

For 35+ years, they never enforced a deadline to renew tickets. One year, I renewed a day late, they automatically sold me my seat online, then they called to tell me they sold my seat to someone else. Hours after the deadline without a call.
Id wager you $1000 THAT doesn't happen anywhere else.
I think Hardecough should be fired but he just keeps being promoted. Which is fine, but I'm not going to support it.
Who needs a 40 year season ticket holder anyway? You've got football.

Do you complain to the athletic department as much as you complain on here? If so, no wonder they canceled your seats.

40 years? You were buying season tickets a couple of years before the program started? Wow. What a great fan!

Called & emailed Mackin. Still waiting for him to respond. Not holding my breath.
When everything revolves around someone who gets a % of what he collects, it means the long term fans get the shaft. Hey, I'm fine with it.
But, a bigger problem is about 2000-3000 other fans are not coming to games either. And you want to blame the victim?
Maybe Pierre Niles should have slapped me. Except I was not the one yelling at him.

You're right. 38 years because I skipped a year and this year.
I've still been to more games than you. Even if I never go to another one.

Is a deadline that was never enforced in 35+ years really a deadline?
Maybe if you are trying to run off 37 year fans.
So give Brad a bonus for doing his job. And ignore the other 5000 empty seats every game. Couldn't be the department. Has to be a single fan.
