Good teams find ways to win, bad find ways to lose. That said, I've been one of the most vocal here in regards to coach, but IMO it's a solid two games in a row. So let's see how the next few go
I'm glad you at least found a way to smooth the edge off that post with the final statement. lol

For the first time all year IMO, we have seen progress two games in a row. I'll hold tight,

Honestly, I'm not EXPECTING a win in either of those contests. I am however, expecting us to not just mail it in. I don't think a loss to either of those teams is a "step back" as some here continue to mention. Those teams are expected to be the top of the league this year, we are not. The only way I'd be disappointed is if we have a game similar to how we played Howard.
IMO, this team is getting better. There are starting to be a lot more signs of improvement and consistency. That's great, but it shouldn't change our expectations of the season to the point where if we don't get W's all of a sudden we're all back to "Chicken Little" mode that some folks are stuck in.
Let the freaking season play out. Let the guys play. Let the positives be positives and the negatives be negatives. There will be PLENTY of time after the season is finished to discuss program direction, etc.
I think one of the things that really allowed our guys to succeed at Elon was the fact they are playing with house money this year. It's clear this year that we aren't last year's Seahawks. Elon had all the pressure on them in that game, playing at home and being the favorite. The 'Hawks are in territory they haven't been at in a few years, they're the underdog in almost every matchup. I don't believe expecting a win at home against a very solid Towson team or on the road at Charleston is healthy for our state of mind as a fan base or for the team.
I don't think losing is necessarily a step back( i gave credit for a loss last night), getting blasted by 30 would be.

I agree. I also firmly believe this team has put those types of losses behind them and are competing well in conference so far. A lot of that will depend on the style of offense run by our opponents. If they run a high tempo offense, there’s always that chance. If it’s a slower pace offense like Elon or NU, we have a chance for sure due to a lesser amount of shots their offense is taking this less defense from us.

I'd prefer the latter if we opted to move away from Gary at PG, although Taylor plays a bit out of control at times when asked to be the ball-handler.
Jacque is just not a solid option as the # 2 PG, because I don't think he can guard these big physical guards in the CAA. He'd be a pest whenever we utilize the press, however.

Both are bad match ups for us. I don't see us getting a W in those 2 games. NU was winnable, but we didn't quite get there.
If we defend the 3 and play with the energy like we have the past 2 games then we can potentially beat anyone in the conference. We won’t beat anybody if they shoot 60% from 3 (ex. @Towson @Delaware).

Brown holds his own and can stick to somebody like glue. That's the bigger issue to me. And, he's quick enough to recover to shooters.
I'm still mad about the refs cheating UNCW last night. It was a screw job. That call against Marcus was an absolute killer. The Hawks win if they call it a walk or jumpball or no call. Taylor goes to the hole in the 1st half and gets crushed with no call. Little cheapies all night on Cacok and Talley away from the action. Physical play by NE all night without calls. I too don't like to talk about the refs but it cost UNCW big last night.

I think the most impressive thing was that we out rebounded a much bigger team.
What I didn't understand was Talley was in excruciating pain after getting clocked in the jewels. And the officials never stopped play for an injury. Even when we had the ball.

I really, really miss the games living up here but i don't miss the sub par officiating. It's always even worse in person and up close!

That was ridiculous. I had never seen a ref refuse an injury timeout before
