It's a shame. The account just recently changed hands. The previous student was doing a great job. The new one is a die-hard BAMA fan who was forced to go to GS because of money. I sympathize with him but he shouldn't be running this account.

There are tons of fans of more established schools that also have loyalty to others due to family, graduate degrees, or just how they grew up. They just have enough of a cushion that those potential conflicts don’t become issues. I like that my wife wears GSU gear and cheers for the Panthers even though I’m her only connection to it and I know she’d never put us above Auburn. You can’t always choose your loyalties; sometimes you just find yourself in them.

My problem is these "dawg" fans that can't seem to understand that not every citizen of GA is a fan of UGA. They look like a deer in headlights when you tell them your not a fan. They can't even comprehend the concept

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I grew up in a GT family so I've never been a UGA fan, but I've never received such strange responses.

The owner of the account apologized and deleted the tweets but the damage is done, probably a dead account now. The other GS accounts like onlyatsouthern are killing them.

I saw that and wondered whether it was true or just saying something to appease the masses.

The student running the account should have been tweeting with the esteemed TBD via his personal twitter for sure.
