Get well Joe!

You guys are quick (I just saw Joe Moglia's press conference on the local news)! I like this site with its breaking news and all Sun Belt issues coverage...I have faith in Jamey Chadwell, who turned the Charleston Southern program into a top 25 FCS unit while a head coach there, taking over the Chants on an interim basis. Maybe he was hired for a coach-in-waiting position anyways...

Not much doubt in my mind Chadwell is basically head coach in waiting. The Chants should be in good hands.

Chadwell will do fine.

I think Chadwell will do fine as well. We also have former head coach and FCS national champion Mickey Matthews as SC.

Could be that Moglia knew about it, and the primary reason for Chadwell accepting the position rather than waiting for a Head Coaching position was that he knew he would have an opportunity to head the program.

He joined our team for the 2016 season.

But what about all the experts that said Chadwell was getting the gig and pursuing him as HC was a waste of time?

Unlike you I don't present myself as an expert and was very clear in saying a good friend who writes for the MBST was told Moglia wasn't coming back. He was obviously wrong.

What is MBST? The Sun News?

As far as the rumors go, I heard both. Moglia had always insisted that he was coming back, even giving recorded updates on the video board at each game. He attended every home game but watched from afar.

I suspect that had we done well that he would have stepped away. But since we didn't he kind of had to come back to right the ship. Once he hired the new DC that he worked with when he volunteered at Nebraska and when he coached in the USFL I think it indicated that he'd be back for sure.

He was on the radio last night and said that he thought Chadwell did a good job under the circumstances but that we should have and could done better. He said that the penalties and mistakes on special teams were glaring problems since we used to pride ourselves on both so will be areas of emphasis as we move forward.

Nope in no way whatsoever do you come close to being an expert on anything you talk about..that would take actually researching and informing yourself first...
